INTRODUCTION
Health care professionals is an individual who facilitates preventive, promotional,
rehabilitative health care services in most appropriate systematic way to general public or
communities. Health care professional are also known as health care practitioner or health care
provider. Health care provider may operates the services in several kinds of branches including
medicine, surgery, dentistry, pharmacy, psychology, nursing, allied health professions. under this
study The Lea Vale foundation established and working as inter professional/ multidisciplinary
health centre. The Lea Vale foundation operating in order to provide the public health facilities
and to deliver integrated health care services to the people of Lea Vale foundations
(Bhattacharyya, 2014).
MAIN BODY
Roles and responsibilities of individuals working in Lea Vale foundation
As in present times the trust, Lea Vale foundation is an integrated health centre and
providing inefficient and ineffective services regarding health of general public, therefore in
order to rectifying this problem the senior managers of the foundation wants to analyse the
workings of individuals by knowing their roles and responsibilities in order to form an integrated
team working environment within the foundation and make foundation acts as multidisciplinary
health centre. Under the workings of foundations like Lea Vale, all the team members of this
multidisciplinary health care team contributes their efforts in order to manage the workings or
services provided by their foundation. The support of health care managers, team members
organise themselves in an organisational structure to maximise the therapeutic success of Lea
Vale foundation.
However the multidisciplinary health care team integrates into various health care
structures such as university medical centre, involves external quality assurance, quality
management system, centre for rare diseases etc. although in multidisciplinary health care centre
the individuals workings in it together in form of integrated team has their own roles and
responsibilities according to their job profiles. such as, he special or rare disease doctor works
and increase the specialization within the profession and a corresponding fragmentation of
disciplinary knowledge resulting in no one health care expert being able to meet the complexities
in treatment of their patients (Berwick, 2016). Besides this, the managers are engaged with

decision makings or activity of pursuing of continuity of care within the move towards
continuous quality improvement. Moreover there are certain legislation and policies formed by
the managers for the systematic workings of integrated team of multidisciplinary health care
centre. Overall, the concept of multidisciplinary team working comprises with the aim, to be
enriching and complementary can bring great benefits and potentially positive results to
integrated teams, clients as well as organisation.
Concept of values, ethics or codes of conduct for health care professional
The personal and professional values of health care practitioner affects the clinical
decisions. Values for the individuals or health care practitioner can helps in improvement of
patient health related decisions taken by the individual practitioners and inter professional teams.
Some values of health care practitioners are capability, professionalism, intellectual stimulation,
critical thinking, equality etc. the most prominent value are altruism, equality and capability.
Besides the values, the codes and codes of ethics also plays inevitable role in functioning
of the health care. Code of ethics examines the roles and responsibilities within the profession.
The profession involves the ethical principles to aid in quality of health in practising. Health care
practitioner duties and responsibilities as the part of profession, a practitioner is guided by the
various code of ethics and standards of practising and are regarding with the profession,
certification, employer relationship. The codes may be contradictory and complimentary, acts as
the guidance for the framework of practising the health care services.
Values and ethics and codes of conduct are use to support the health care practitioner to
deliver good quality and effective services within the criteria of ethical framework and these
codes are also essential in providing the guidance to the individual practitioners in performing
the challenging tasks of providing appropriate health care services and completing professional
roles and ensures a proper framework to ensures the framework to guide professional judgement.
For example, National health organisation guidelines health and care regarding the in Lea Vale

which every individual perform there own functions properly helps in getting proper
health results.
Enhanced satisfaction for clients: Appropriate individual for specific job and together
with the team workings under the expert guidance, makes an individual satisfied with his/
her jobs. As the works manage properly with no burden.
More efficient uses of resources: professionals are working together for one foundation,
expertise the workings with optimum utilisation of useful resources and reduce the
wastage of it.
Job satisfaction for team members: many professional working together under one
organisation and manages the according to their ability and knowledge then this reduces
the chances of work load or extra burden of work. Therefore every individual perform
there own functioning in most effective manner, it enhances the job satisfaction to
individuals.

team members, best use of skill mix together in team, better governance structures and better
system or protocols for interaction and communication between team member ensure better
working conditions and job satisfaction as in case of Lea Vale Health care centre. Some benefits
of multidisciplinary team work for services users are as follows.

perfection in work, and the together workings of professional individuals leads to better
results.
