Analysis of barriers to healthcare
Physical barriers are manageable and controlled by regular monitoring of whole system
of campaign. Every health promotion program must focus on its communication system,
healthcare equipment, specific physical facilities for the participants (Martin and Nahar, 2017).
One you campaign is embedded with efficient work system, tools and technologies to reduce the
instances of physical barrier.
Psychological hurdles are the most considerable related to any health promotion
campaigns because it is uncontrollable and difficult to identify. It is extremely difficult to control
and alter the thinking and psychology pertaining to different participants of the health care
program (Eldredge and et.al., 2016). At such instance, effective team of counselors act as
facilitators for the running campaign who may explain and persuade the participants to undergo
treatments or assessments.
Cultural hindrances can be overcome by effective team involvement in describing any
health issue to a patient from an almost separate culture. Hand gestures, expressions and body
language can prove to be effective at such instance. Availability of a multi linguistic may act as a
bridge between patients and healthcare professionals.
Financial barriers are utmost necessary to ensure smooth conduction of campaign. A
proper evaluation of budgetary, cost analysis before planning health campaign is necessary step

to perform. Continuous connections with partners, sponsors and government bodies will
effectively accelerate the plans and procedures (Betts and et.al., 2018). Managing stock and
health care resources for future financial requirements will be helpful.
Geographical barriers are also difficult to manage by health promotion campaigns. The
team need to be fully aware of the problems in a particular region. The lacking in that area in
terms of food, physical and medical, healthcare facilities needs to be analyzed (Martin and
Nahar, 2017). This takes continuous capital funding to provide all the required facilities in that
particular region.
“One you health campaign” need to consider both the barriers to ensure proper and
standardized flow of promotion within the area (Bowling and et.al., 2016). Before the
implementation of any campaign, it is necessary to evaluate the culture and psychology of
patients or community. Proper outcomes may be received by continuous communication and
enhanced interactions with the participants. One you campaign has effective assessments
regarding geographical languages, healthcare professionals and different factors that may
increase physical barriers to the campaign.
Impact of barriers on individual health
Physical barriers directly influence to individual's health as it will create a sense
of discomfort within the participants or patients. Improper health education aids may deliver a
wrong or incomplete information among the patients (Coyne, 2015). Some serious results may
be side effect of certain medicines that are misheard or misspelled.
Psychological barrier to any health promotion campaign may adversely affect individual
health as he will not be able to describe their health issues to concerned health professional. This
type of barrier create a level of difficulty for healthcare professionals in inculcating proposed
treatments of particular disease to patients (Martin and Nahar, 2017). The mindset of the arrived
patients regarding any medicine or health issue will adversely affect the treatments.
The hindrances due to culture differences may develop trust issues among patients
regarding health professionals (Eldredge and et.al., 2016). Patients with such issues will not
continue the treatments from health professionals with different culture. This incomplete
treatment sessions will not deliver effective results to patient.
Similarly, geographical barriers like unfavorable climatic conditions may affect the
health of individual. Situations like inadequate health facilities in residing area disrupts the

promotion campaign.
