BACKGROUND
• Nola J. Pender was born August 16th, 1941.
• She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's and
Master's degree in 1964 and 1965.
• In 1969, she received her Doctorate degree from Northwestern University.
• She was honored in 2005 by the Mid-West Nursing Research Society for her
lifetime achievement.
• She received her Honorary Ph.D. from Widener University in 1992.
• She received the Michigan State University School of Nursing's Distinguished
Alumni Award in 1972(nursing-theory.org, 2016).

THE THEORY OF HEALTH PROMOTION MODEL
 The objective of the model of Nola Pender is to help nurses understand health
behavior factors as grounds for conduct counseling, in order to encourage good
lifestyles. This framework includes 5 factors–
 Person is an environmental-formed biophysical organism .
 Environment is the social, cultural and physical background in which existence
develops and is defined.
 Nursing is a process which is involved in between various individuals for
creating the finest circumstances for optimum safety and well-being.
 Health is the accomplishment of human potential through target-oriented
performance, self-service, and relations with others which is described as the
needed adjustment of the environment.
 Illnesses are uncertain lives occurrences that may impede or enable the
ongoing wellness pursuit of the patient (nursing-theory.org, 2016).

ASSESSMENT
The assessment should be done on the parents and their concern
related to the MMR vaccine and also assessment of different
researches need to be done that proves that MMR vaccine does
not give rise to rise of autism in children.
After the assessment analyis is completed and constructing a plan
is necessary to aid in changes to address the actual or potential
breakdown in the interactions of caregiver and child (WebMD,
2019).

PLANNING
Four types of illness are covered from MMRV vaccine: measle,
mumps, rubella, and varicella. Only 12 months to 12 years old is this
vaccine allowed for use in kids. It is of great importance for each and
every individual to understand the importance of the MMR vaccine.
Every individual should be taught the advantages and risks that can
happen from taking a vaccine and the nurses should be taught the
proper procedure of providing vaccination.

INTERVENTIONS
• Nursing procedures are a way to define treatment for nurses, to arrange
the data into a consistent framework and to connect the language with
people, relatives, groups and the audience in particular.
• It is helpful for care planning, clinical records, communication of care
via different settings, integration of data across systems and settings,
effective study and curricular designed education.
• Nursing interventions that have the greatest impact are ones that have
multiple long-term contacts with the patients (Butcher et al., 2018).

IMPLEMENTATION
The interventions implemented by the nurse will focus on restoring
and betterment of the health of the child. Interventions and
preparation assist families to comprehend the key elements of
wellness in order to encourage favorable, safe lifestyles in behavioral
counseling.

OUTCOMES
This demonstration indicates decisively that MMR vaccines do not
raise any threat of autism or autism in kids and therefore are not
linked to a sort of autism cases after vaccination. Many studies have
shown that MMR vaccine does not lead to the risk of autism, but there
is insufficient evidence to change the minds of every individual.
