Health is an important aspect of every individual. To help the people in need various
health and social care sectors are emerging out continuously. In order to promote the health of
the people several charters are also signed in the international conferences to promote the health.
Ottawa charter and Bangkok charter are among these agreements.
For the growth of the disciplines related to the health promotion and to develop the health
policies Ottawa charter has played a significant role. This charter has served as a favour to
ameliorate the health practices used by the practitioners. It has elaborated the meaning of health
promotion to safeguard the lives of the individuals (Edelman, Mandle and Kudzma, 2017). This
was really helpful to satisfy the needs of the individuals according to the changing environment.
According to this the health has been termed as a basic resource for survival. For the
welfare of community emphasis is given on the nutrition in place of the disease eradication. For
the stability of the ecosystem this is necessary. Strategical framework is established by this
charter. To assist in the efficient working of these sectors various health assessment tools are also
being implemented. Impact of the formation of global community organisations to support the
health sector has been enunciated. It postulates that self awareness is mandatory to control
obesity, nutrition, tobacco use, alcohol, etc. It was implemented in many organisations because
of the support provided by it.
Similarly, Bangkok charter was signed to promote the health of individuals. With the
help of this charter various actions, commitments and the pledges are identified which serves as a
major determinant of the health in the global world. It has emphasised on strong political actions,
participation and advocacy for the effective health services.
Appropriate investment has to be done to maintain the healthy infrastructure (Eldredge

to the norms and rules set by the authority for the sake of the people. Collaboration with the
non-government organisation has to be promoted to ameliorate the health practices at local,
national and international levels. Global development agenda must have to be made along with a
good corporate practices to ensure the safety of the society. In this way these charters have
promoted the health practices.
The Ottawa charter has established that there are many fundamental things to promote the
health of community,for example, peace, shelter, education, food, income, stable eco-system,

services. From above it can be concluded that these charters are really relevant to promote the
health of the individuals in the present era (Lewis, 2015).
The Ottawa charter has helped to propagate healthy public policies. Supportive
environment is also provided by this. Strategies are planned by it to have a robust community.
Reorientation of health care services is done for the safety of the individuals. WHO (world health
organisation) has also played a vital role for health improvement. The same things can be
accomplished in the today's world also to promote the safety of the individuals. They serve as a
tool to treat the patient effectively.
To ensure the health of varied kinds of patients one has to work in collaboration with
various doctors and organisations. People must have to be aware about the need of hygiene
practices for their own protection. They must be trained for the same. Hence, we can say that
with the help of the practices enunciated by this charter one can easily promote the health of the
individuals. One has to work as per the regulations set for the protection of the community. Use
of hazardous products must be avoided. Proper disposal techniques must have to be used.
Implementation of advanced technologies has to be considered in 21st century along with
the appropriate number of care workers to eradicate the flaws related to these charters (Yanek
and et.al., 2016). Eco-friendly disposals have to be done for the safety of living and non-living
organisms. Communication plays a vital role while interacting with the patients. One has to take
care of this.

From above we can say that to promote the health of the people one has to follow the
practices made by these charters. The practices which are not covered under this have to be
followed in the favour of the community. With the help of this one can easily promote the health
of the people. People must have to adhere with the rules and regulations set by the mangers and
other service providers.
