INTRODUCTION
In this report, old age is a psychical time frame of slowdown. Even if you don't get sans eyes,
teeth, everything, you start slowing down psychologically straight away (González-Rodríguez
and et. al., 2018). The medical appearance relies on the inherited bill of rights, the way of life,
and environmental variables. Several of the commonly involved reasons of declining health are
having to live vagaries, poor diet, malnourishment, contagious, poisonings, indolence, ineffective
rest, mental turmoil, overstretch, autoimmune conditions, as well as environmental factors such
as changes in temperature.
Main body
TITLE: “Modern ways of health promotion and health prevention in Swansea and
Carmarthen”.
What is the study about? Why has it been done?
Approximately 92 percent of adults have at least one mental health illness and 77 percent
have had at least a handful, as per the National Council on Aging. The much more prevalent and
expensive severe health forms of stress nearly half of fatalities every year are cardiovascular
disease, heart attack, diabetes, and high blood pressure. The current study is descriptive based
which had properly described a population, situation, or phenomenon that is being studied. And
also focuses on answering the how, what, when, and where questions If a research problem,
rather than the why in order to accurately and systematically describe a population, situation or
phenomenon in detailed manner. Use of descriptive approach is appropriate as it facilitates a
detailed and theoretical aspect about the modern ways of health promotion and health prevention
in Swansea and Carmarthen based on perception and view point of participants.
Who has carried out the study? Have the researchers got the necessary
professional/academic background?
In order to help maintain or prevent diseases, the Centre for Chronic National Drug
Control Policy advises conference with a doctor for an annual visit, keeping a positive eating
habits and sustaining a workout regimen. Depression is a significant issue by many elderly
people and this can actually decrease obesity as well as related chronic illnesses by participating
in such health behaviours. Cognitive health is based on the capacity of an individual to perceive,

learn and comprehend. Dementia, the deterioration of certain cognitive skills, is perhaps the most
prominent cognitive medical problem affecting the elderly.
Study aim:
Certain underlying health problems and disorders raise the risk of having disease, like
alcohol misuse, diabetes, asthma, anxiety, HIV and smoke, as per the National Institute on
Ageing. Physicians should administer a recovery plan including drugs to control the condition,
and there are no treatments for dementia (Higgins, Omer and Phillips, 2015).
Literature Review:
About 15 % of people over the age of 60 suffering from a psychiatric illness, and per the
World Health Organisation. Depression, which exists in 7 percent of the older population, is a
widespread psychiatric illness among adults. This psychiatric illness is, sadly, frequently
overdiagnosed and underdiagnosed. In the Us, elderly people account for approximately 18 per
cent of accidental deaths. Since depression could be a side benefit of underlying health problems,
these treatments reduce the risk of developing them. In particular, this can reduce the risk of
developing depression by encouraging a healthier lifestyle, such as changing working
environments and support networks from relatives, peers or outreach programs. An aged patient
is transported every 15 seconds to the urgent care for a falling.
Data analysis:
Every 29 mins, a junior die through dropping, rendering it the primary cause of injuries
among some of the aged. Since ageing causes shrinkage of the knees and loss of cardiovascular
fitness in the muscles, seniors are more sure to damage their stability, fracturing and breaking the
bone. Osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia are two maladies that lead to frailty. Dropping were never
inevitable, though. In certain instances, by counselling, improved physical exercise and
functional changes inside the household, they can be stopped (Malerba and et. al., 2015). As
many as 5 million people between the ages of 65 living from the condition in the United States,
Diabetes is the most prevalent type of dementia.
Discussion:
In 2013, the Institutions for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) reported that 21% of
Reported incidents resulted in individuals over the aged of 50, and 37% of accidents that same
year have been in persons over the age of 55. Although sexual desires and abilities can shift as
individuals mature, sexual attraction does not fully vanish. Seniors are unable to use

contraceptives, which renders the seniors especially vulnerable to HIV when paired with a life
threatening illness. In elderly people, chronic illness of HIV is typical since Impact of diseases
are somewhat close with those of aging process, harder to diagnose and avoid immune response
disruption. Malnutrition is frequently undiagnosed in older people above the age of 65 which can
contribute to several other health conditions for the aged, such as a life threatening illness and
extreme fatigue. Multiple health conditions (seniors diagnosed with dementia may fail to eat),
obesity, addiction, food limitations, diminished social interaction and limited income can be
blamed for the causes of obesity. Nutrition concerns in the aging can be improved by
contributing to modest improvements in diet, like growing consumption of fruit and decreasing
intake of processed sugar and fat. Including older people who are unable to afford things or who
have trouble cooking meals, food options are developed. For elderly Adults over the age of 70,
disabilities, like sight and hearing, are highly normal. One of every six elderly adults is
physically challenged, as per the CDC, and one out of four is hard of hearing. Luckily, devices
such as goggles or contact lenses can effectively cure any of these problems. New innovations
are developing auditory loss evaluation and improved diagnostic accessibility. Sometimes
ignored, dental health is among the elderly's many significant challenges. The Dental Care
Department of the CDC noticed that around 25 percent of men over the age of 65 do not have
their natural teeth left. Troubles like dental problems, low self-esteem, as well as other health
conditions may lead to difficulties keeping a balanced diet. Dry skin, dental problems and oral
cancer become general health problems common with elderly adults. By having daily oral check-
ups, certain problems may be handled or avoided. Dental treatment, however, can be hard for
retirees to obtain due to lack of medical insurance retirement period or financial drawbacks
(Trevisan, 2016).
Conclusion
In the end, it is concluded that in ole age they became week, more elderly people strive to
operate past the average retirement age to have more opportunities to prepare for retirement. A
few other current adults constantly betrayed by this pattern and became worried that they would
be pushed out from the employment market by new staff in higher posts.
