1.2 Assess the relevance of government sources in reporting on inequalities in health
There are multiple government agencies and researches that are done to identify the major cause
of inequality in health services given to people. Some of the communities are National health
services, reports from CQC, WHO apart from that there are red cross societies that identifies the
cause and nature of medical facilities deprivation to the people. Other resources of research
include The Black Report DHSS 1980, Health Survey for England (HSE) etc, Health and
Lifestyle Surveys (HALS), Scotland Health Survey 2003, census data. They identify that one of
the reasons some people are deprived includes geographic factors that result in practical
difficulty of an individual to reach the health service provider. There is a certain location that is
quite far from other places thus people do not get appropriate medical facilities at the time of
need. Apart from that, there is difference identified in the social groups and the impact of the
cast, color and religious believers of an individual regarding a particular health facility
(Eldredge, et. al., 2016).
These reports have identified the cause of the social differences and influences of various
external factors on the development of the health of an individual and their families. These
reports highlighted the significant impact of macroeconomic factors on the development of needs
of sick and needy. They have also highlighted the major section of the society being affected and
the possible solution that can be identified for them. These reports have highlighted the health
aspect and health facilities in the UK and the portion of the same that is actually reaching the
individual. These reports have highlighted probable solutions and steps that can be taken by the
authorities in order to develop the social life and development of health facilities in all the
demographics.

1.3 Discuss reasons for barriers to accessing healthcare
The report of Acheson has identified a number of reasons that have been causing inequality in
the society to deal with the needs of the individual thus affecting the reach of an individual to
deal with the health issues. The impact of social consequences has been seen on the health
structure of UK. Major barriers are:
Social impact: The social structure and the cultural impact of the society affect the perception
and needs of an individual with respect to the medical needs of the individual. Domestic
environment and upbringing of an individual have been affecting the development of health
services of UK. The social activities and early sexual activities have been affecting the social
behavior of people. This has put a barrier in delivering health services to society.
Inequality in income: The income structure of the people depends upon the type of employment
they are involved in. This identifies the amount they can spend on the daily nutrition and medical
facilities thus affecting the health. Some of the society are in low-income groups while others are
in a large income section this makes it difficult for the individual to gather sufficient medical
benefits. Some of the families suffer from massive malnutrition due to unequal income
distribution and unequal income earned by them.
Lack of knowledge: In many cases lack of general awareness and poverty results in lack of
knowledge about the medical benefits an individual can have in the society. Many secluded
families do not have enough conveyance and resources they can use to deliver the results. This
has been keeping them from availing various income and medical benefits launched by the
government for poor, old and children (Yanek, et. al., 2016).
Conclusion: The report has highlighted major socioeconomically features that has been affecting
the healthy development of an individual. There has been a discussion about the number of
reasons that are involved in keeping people away from the health facilities. The significant
causes of malnutrition have been identified. This report was necessary to take effective policies
and strategies to deal with the needs of all sections of the society and make effective application
in practical form.

2.3 Discuss the role of routines in promoting healthy living
A healthy routine is part of healthy living and healthy lifestyle thus helping the individual to deal
with the underlying cause of disease and its impact on the health of an individual. Many of the
health practitioner believes that many of the conditions arise due to the lack of routine in the
daily lifestyle of an individual. Many people are not aware of the need for routine to maintain the
condition of their healthy life. Some of the neglecting cases include forgetting to exercise daily
and not having a healthy diet. This has been affecting the development of an effective healthy
nature and practice of an individual. The adaption of routine in life is needed to make life healthy
and better in every case. The meaning of routine is not confined to eating and exciting but also
an adaption of various unhealthy and unhygienic habits that have been giving germs and virus a
good path to enter the body. A routine is responsible for the perception one has for the
development of their and their family’s health thus affecting the health of the whole family. The
part of every activity is there in an individual and it eventually becomes there routine for
example in spite of doing a lot of exercise consumption of a lot of alcohol in one’s routine
eventually destroys the purpose of an individual and making health practices ineffective
(Edelman, et. al., 2017).
People are needed to understand the impotence of routine in their life as this helps in the
identification of the needs of the body and the effect of treatment increases when there is a
healthy routine associated with the same. Spending enough time on the health and culture
development of the family is also part of a healthy routine, thus developing a positive
environment and health of the whole family. A balance between needs and routine is to be there
in order to deal with the needs of the patient (Salazar, et. al., 2015).
Conclusion: This has been identified in the above essay that health maintenance and
sustainability is a collaborative effort of personal and professional behavior of people. In order to
have a healthy, there is a need for a good routine and proper guidance of the professional people
thus affecting the health condition of an individual.

TASK 3
Introduction: The essay will be discussing the impact of health theories and the impact of
macro-environment on the development of the health of an individual. The discussion will be to
identify effective measures to deliver health news and awareness to the people.
3.1 Explain how health beliefs relate to theories of health behavior
The beliefs of health are usually governed by multiple factors in the internal sections of the
individual and also affecting the output on the same. The beliefs of diabetes are being governed
by the health behavior that is based on the multiple factors influencing the treatment to the
response given for diabetes. There has been a study of various belief model that are discussing
the impact of health model on the development of individual health and develop their perception.
The Health belief model has been identifying an individual’s perception and belief with respect
to the health problems they have been facing. This model identifies the major cause of patient’s
behavior is the rejection and acceptance thus impacting their response that can be positive or
negative. Theory of reasoned action is one of the theories that believes that the behavior of an
individual has been impacting their power of reasoning to identify the difference between good
and bad. This theory suggests that the health belief on an individual is governed by the
application of attitude and nature of an individual in order to identify the effective application of
intentions and behavior of an individual for the health benefits. Health Action Model is the
model that says that environmental, social and psychological are the ones that have been
identifying the behavior of an individual and also impacting the intentions and behavior for
diabetes. These theories have been putting impact either in the form of positive or in terms of the
negative impact that has been affecting the development of an individual conception for diabetes
and this reflects on their behavior towards the treatment (Naidoo and Wills, 2016).

3.2 Discuss the possible effects of potential conflicts with local industry on health
promotion.
Health promotion is most effective when done on a regular basis and with the full support of
everyone, this affects the intellect of everyone. There has always been certain local industries
and local people that has been affecting the health promotion and successful implementation of
health consulting and promotions. There are certain industries that are not much affected by the
negative impact of their products and services on the individuals. Some of these include drug
dealing and illegal providing harmful drugs enclosed in the form of other things. These people
make it very difficult for the health promotion as they more vigorously smuggle drugs and has
the aim to keep the addiction with the people. This has been affecting the health facilities and it
is very difficult for an individual to come out of this situation. Apart from that alcohol has also
been penetrating in the perception of the society thus reducing the judging factor of an individual
to identify the negative impact it has on an individual. Apart from that, there is a lot of influence
of is there on the needs and conception of the people thus they indulge themselves more into an
unhealthy lifestyle and unhealthy eating. This includes fast food consumption and smoking
habits this makes the work of health professionals even more difficult (Ayo, 2012).
The health care professionals are needed to take initiatives to raise awareness about diabetes and
anti-smoking and anti-alcohol campaigns to deal with the rising concern of an individual. Apart
from that certain other local medical service agencies do not support health promotion. They
raise the issues of social and cultural implications of society on an individual thus affecting the
development of the health services. Local religious people treat these disease with mythological
believes thus distracting the people from health services.
