Introduction
In recent times it can be stated that the sector of treatment of the old aged people is one of the
concern areas. The organization which is taken into focus is the Fleetwood hall home which
directly engages themselves in the domain of treatment of the aged people and helps them to live
a better life. The care area is one of the motive of the organization. In the working there are
certain issue which are faced which are majorly discussed in the report.
Part 1
Task 1.1
System: The main aspect which was taken into consideration was related to the sector of
introducing an effective recruitment process. The staff training in the concept was stated to be
not up which was directly altered which affect the execution of the different tasks. The main
concept which can be stated here is linked to the sector of controlling the different activity.

related to the factor that there was not much staff involved in the sector of the working. This
directly impacted the sector of working. This criterion was one of the major factors which can be
included in the sector of working which impacted the security aspect of the Fleetwood hall.
Communication and types
The area of communication can be considered to be very much crucial in the sector of working
of the organization. This enhances the sector of working of the organization. The major areas
which can be included into the domain of verbal communication is the aspect of training. In the

sector of the indulgence should not be facing any form of problem. This is due to the factor that

of indulgence which would be directed towards the betterment of the working, and the patient
would be directly receiving the treatment which is intending to be delivered to them. The
treatment should be one of the concerned areas which should be applied in the working of the

One of the aspects which can be stated here is the interaction of the nurses in the sector of

they play a significant role in the sector of helping the aged people care. They should be loyal
towards the activity which they perform so that the sector of health care can be done quite easily

The major concern of management of a health and social care unit is to ensure about the health
and safety of the care users. It is the core responsibility of the care providers to look after the
needs and requirements of the care users (Phillips, 2016). It is paramount to provide the care
users, services according to their preferences or need. In addition to this, security of the care
users must also be the priority of the care providers.
Effective communication
Communication is a pivotal factor that is necessary for the care providers to maintain as this can
help them to understand the preferences of the care users in a proper way. In association to the
case study of Mrs. Y, it has been observed that she was Alzheimer sufferer and thus also faces
issues in walking even. Mrs. Y was found to be distressed that she was not able to tell anyone. It
has been found that proper communication between Mrs. Y and the care provider would help her
to develop from her condition.
Training staff
Susan found that Mrs Y had bruises on her legs. After being questioned, one of the care
providers answered that the straps on the wheelchair caused the bruises on Mrs Y’s legs. Mrs Y
had already refused to use the strap on her wheelchair. As the care provider was not properly
trained, there was difficulty in analysing the appropriate problem and overcome it. Training the
staffs would help in avoiding such problems in future.
Carrying out Risk Assessment

In this case, dilemma is about the straps that is necessary to be used but Mrs Y did not allow
doing so. Using the straps would prevent Mrs Y from getting hurt. On the other hand, Mrs Y is
against using the straps. Mrs. Y felt that the straps are degrading and causing her injury.
However, her ill condition can also be due to wrong treatment or lack of proper care. Susan told
the care worker to have the straps while Mrs Y move or does not want them. Carrying out risk
assessment would help in gauging the risks associated with the activity and would aid in
effective decision-making by the professionals.
Task 2.4
Analysing the effects of non-compliance with health and safety legislation
Non-compliance of health and safety legislations is about failure of acting according to wish or
preference of the care users (Valentine et al., 2015). This can lay positive and negative impact on
the health condition of the care users. The major purpose of implementing principles of
legislation is to convey information to the service providers for the care users so that they are
able to deal with care users effectively.
In reference to the case scenario of Fleetwood Hall Care Home, it has been observed that the care
unit required intense and overall enhancement for betterment of the care users. The care workers
were not providing adequate assistance to the care users. It has been found that legislations like
health and social care act 2008, misuse of drug legislation, medicine act and mental health
capacity act. This has lead adverse effect on the health of the care users (Giles-Corti et al., 2016).

In Fleetwood hall care home, according to the CQC inspection, it has been observed that there
high rate of staff turnover and this in turn was adversely affecting the services for the service
users (Blumenthal and McGinnis, 2015). The registered manager was recruiting more staffs to
manage the turnover rate. If the staffs adopt proper ways of risk assessment, it will be easier for
the management to understand the factors that cause risk to care users.
● Effective communication and safeguarding concerns
In a care unit, it is necessary to ensure about the safety of every care users. Whereas, in this case
it has been found that the care unit failed to do so. Family member of a dementia sufferer
complained that there were bruises occurred as there were no proper staffs to take care of. In
such cases, proper communication with care users and their family members can help
management of the care unit to develop their services.
Negative effects
 Damage of the reputation of the organisation
In the hall care unit, women complained that one man has tried on her and that made her
embarrassed and insecure (Artiga and Hinton, 2018). In such case, there is an intense
requirement to follow the health and safety care act to ensure the safety of every service users.
This incident can also lead towards damaging the reputation of the care unit.
 Fine and Imprisonment
Care users were also not provided with medication on time. Breaching of medicine act has also
lead towards ill health of sufferers of Alzheimer and Dementia. This included physical, verbal
and intimidator incident among care users. Misbehaving with the care users can also lead to fine
and imprisonment of the care provider.
