INTRODUCTION
Health and safety are the prime concern in every living being on earth. Therefore,
consideration of proper medical treatment and medication can+ bring promptness in recovering
from any health issues. In the present report, there will be discussion based on various medical
issues as well as appropriate treatment awarded to them in same respect. Moreover, individual
will be benefited with appropriate operational suggestion that will be lifesaver for them.
MAIN BODY
1. Hazard in workplace environment and the risk assessment within the health and safety
legislation.
Hazard is any type of potential damage, harm or adverse health effects on employees or
workers at workplace. If there are any source or substances used in workplace which can harm
the employees are called hazards. There are many type of hazards in workplace like, safety
hazards, Biological hazards, physical hazards and chemical hazards. There should be a proper
risk assessment of that hazard and proper measures should be taken to control the potential harm
from this hazard to the employees.
An organisation has to manage its workplace hazard effectively for the safety of its
worker. Under the new Health and safety at Work Act 1974, assessment of risk in a workplace is
a key part of hazard management in the workplace and for overall organisation (Grunert and
et.al., 2018). Risk assessment is the process of identifying those things in workplace that could
cause harm and the people who can be harmed. Physical hazards can be done through explosion,
fire etc. the risk assessment process involves the following steps under Health and Safety at
Work Act 1974:
Identifying a hazard through consulting staff and reviewing accidents and incidents report
that has happened in past.
The employees or workers who might be harmed with those hazards at workplace.
Evaluating the nature of risk that can be caused by hazard and implement most effective

2. Two medicine and the condition in which they are prescribed in and the COSHH principles
apply in giving it safely.
Amoxicillin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medicationis a
penicillin-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only
bacterial infection, it is not for other type of infection. This medicine should be prescribed to
treat many different types of infection caused by bacteria, such as tonsillitis, bronchitis,
pneumonia and infections of the ear, nose, throat or urinary tract.
Azithromycin comes as a tablet, suspension, and extended-release suspension you take
by mouth. It also comes as eye drops as well as an intravenous form given by a healthcare
provider. It used to treat infection caused by bacteria (Tetrick, Perrewé and Griffin, 2017). It is
prescribed to treat certain infections that are caused by bacteria, it should not be used to treat
infections caused by viruses, such as the common cold. It can be used in combination with other
antibiotics when its used to treat mycobacterium avium complex infection.
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health(COSHH) is the law that requires employers
to control substances that are hazardous to health and includes nanomaterials. COSHH principles
suggests that amoxicillin products that are available with different life span (Sampson and et. al.,
2017). Storage of these tablet and capsules are at room temperature and away from excess heat
and moisture. Dispose these medicine after 14 days.
The principle for COSHH suggest that azithromycin should be stores in container with
tightly closed. The tablets, suspension is to be stored at room temperature away from heat and
moisture. Dispose the medicine after 10 days.
3. Describe the principles of handling and moving Mrs White.
Using a hoist to move Mrs. White can be hazardous for both Mrs. White and the person
lifting her. The best practice guidelines should be followed to before handling or moving her
with a hoist (Boyes and et. al., 2017). The principles of handling and moving Mrs. White will
include following steps:
Guide Mrs. white that staff is using the hoist to lift her safely. And ask her to carry out
