INTRODUCTION
Health and safety refers to the regulations along with procedures which are there to intended
for preventing accidents or injury which is there in workplaces or in public environments. This is one
of the major concern to the people which are there in any of the field and there is need to have some
basic level of health safety which is necessary for all either personally or professionally. It is having
the importance for the well being of employers, visitors along with customers. There is the

There is also going to discuss about the how it is monitored and maintained in setting along with
discussion about encouraging the safe work with getting aware about risks and hazards. Lines of
responsibility in different setting and importance of taking balance approach to risk management

get rid of the situation which is there can help one to get over such situation where there is for
preventing people to being drawn into terrorism which is when they carry out with their usual
functions. There are many of examples which are there in the country where people got influence
which is there for the name of democracy and many other things which are there can attract such
people who are there irritated and demoralised by the government and get influence towards the
terrorism.
RIDDOR occurrences regulation 2013- This is the one which is there can puts duties on
employers along with self employed and people who are there in control of work premises where it
should be reported as workplace accidents, specified dangerous occurrences and occupational
diseases. In this, it could be involving dealt and injuries which is cause by the workplace accidents,
occupational diseases, gas incidents and many more accidents which are there in paying the role of

an employee. Such legislation is there which is there for the health and safety of the people which are
there on the workplace and related concern. There are some fo the specific injuries like fracture,
amputation, loss of sight, serious burns, scalping which requires the treatment of hospital, asphyxia
etc. There are several examples in each and every occupation where such type of injuries are
common there and should be use of such legislation there which comes under the law.
Health and safety at work at 1974- This is the act which defines about the duties on
employers, contractors, suppliers, employees, person in control in work premises, this is the one
which includes the safety and health of the employees which are there in the organisation and able to
get all the benefits which is there by the help of law (Reese, 2018. There are many of the people
there which are there can help in getting the safety. There are several duties of employers which are
there with the provision and maintenance of systems and plant which are very practical along with
safe which is without risk of health.
Control of substances hazardous to health regulations 2002- this is the one which is
complementary chemical regulation 2002 which is there require labelling of hazardous substances
which is by the suppliers. There are many of the regulations which are there related with regulations
about the labelling along with signage of containers and pipes. This is the law which is there to
control the substances which are hazardous in nature and having risk of health and safety. There are
different examples of such hazardous substances which are there generally as the chemicals and are
very dangerous and there is need to have such laws. This can able to get the safety of person who are
working in such field.

Health and safety play an important role in every individuals life be it children, employees or
young people in economy. The maintenance and monitoring of health safety systems perform on the
basis of PDCA way which means planning, doing , checking and action.
Healthcare workplaces make sure that there are proper review procedures followed after any
occurrence of incident or accidents, that the risk and hazards are controlled effectively. Some of the
monitoring measures are discussed below in following points:

they can help in implementing the responsibilities which are issued by the top management
and try to provide the knowledge of health and safety issues to the children. They ensure that
the children's are free from any hazardous things and make sure about their health and safety.
 Teacher: Teacher are the one who majorly communicate with the students as they are
responsible for management of health and safety. Also they ensure the regular checking and
submit the report to local education authority. They carried out the information and collect
the need of the staff, so that they can help the children in maintaining the health and safety
issues. Some times they are responsible for managing the safety budget which are work as the
under control for school governing body.
 Head teacher: They have the responsibilities to manage the teachers and students at the same
time. They manage the rules and regulation which are their responsibilities in order to make
the policies in the schools. Their role in maintaining the health and safety management,
collecting and appraisal the departmental management and make the report on the teacher's

performance and students evaluation (Kislyakov and et.al., 2018). They are responsible for
making bodies which are helpful in making the policies.
 Health and safety officer: They are the one who are responsible and monitoring the health
and safety related policies. Make the priority list and ensure that the policies are
implementing and not. And they provide the annual report on their health and safety to the
department of education. This would be helpful for the school management and for the
students also. They make the report to which are assign to final authority which are
responsible for assigning the policies.
 Caretaker: They are responsible for their circular areas, as all the teachers and head teachers
are liable for their course of work. The caretakers are responsible for basic safety and
classroom cleanliness. They are responsible for making the ensure that the teachers and
students who are using the resources are safe and secure for using that. The caretaker are
responsible for making the cleanliness and provide the report to health and safety measures.
Outline the importance of taking a balanced approach to risk management:
As the practitioners, the main concern is to keep the children safe from unhygienic food and
try to provide them a balanced diet to maintain their health. Doing this is be very hard as the young
people and children are not aware with the importance of the balanced approach in order to manage
the risk. At the same time elder people must encourage the children to experience the risk and try to
manage the challenge (Wilson, 2018). As if the parents will remove all the risk and issues from the
children's lives then how could they experience the learning outcomes and this would indirectly leads
to failure in their lives. There are many example which are shown the activities which are not doing
by the children. Like poisonous chemicals, for using any electrical equipments are clearly dangerous
for the children. But on the other hand climbing stairs, visiting park and lighting a candle are some
type of experience which are important to access in the real life. These type of experience can extend
the children's experience and increase their understanding and thinking skills which are helpful in
managing the real world threats. These type of experience which are used as the balanced approaches
to develop the confidence and provide competence to make their own decision in term of risk taking.
There are many of the importance of the risk management which is there required for the health and
safety which needs to be there for the proper management which is related with each and every
employee of the company and many other things which are there need to have some importance
which is there in the taking the balance which is there in the health and safety. There are several of

examples there which can give the reason for the importance of such health and safety requirement
in the organisation there.
Risk assessment is the very important part for making a plan and implement the wide range
of factors which must be taken into the consideration such as age, nature, physical environment and
many others factors. Not even in the children but in young people, it is also important to manage the
risk in their lives. It is said that the all people have the ability to enjoying the experience and manage
the challenge which they have to feed in the part through planning. While making a balanced
approach in playing, studying and use a healthy diet is important for enjoying the healthy and disease
free lives. The focus which they are using while playing the games, and they become more social
oriented. Indeed young people have strong emotional dimension so they have greater appetite for
managing the risky activities and they are easily understand the concept of manage the balance in
managing the risk. Children's natural inclination would be responsible for children as they have to
make a balanced while playing the games and throughout this approach they try to manage the risk.
Children today have less freedom than in the past, and so in result they have fewer opportunities for
taking risk in the normal part of their everyday lives (Rushton and et.al., 2015). The practitioners
have to use the duty to take care of the children and to make them safe at all the times. So they have
to plan the playing environment to safe their child but also they have to make the balance in between
the risk and take care of the child. There are various area of reason which are helpful in making the
development phase of the child they are personal and social development, language and
communication skills, mathematical development, knowledge and understanding level and culture
diversity. All these area are must be used by the children and young people in order to achieve the
development.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, one is able to find out the legislation and laws which are there
involving the legislation and different laws and policies which is regarding the health and safety of
the employees which is at their workplaces. There is also the discussion about the safety and health
which is there monitored and maintained which includes the regular walkabouts, staff reminded etc.
which is there in the meetings, there is also includes how to aware of risks and hazards which is there
encouraged to work safety. There is also some discussion about the lines of responsibility and
reporting which includes teaching assistant, teacher, head teacher, caretaker and others, there is also
some assess and management of risks which is there in the children and young people.
