INTRODUCTION
It is very important for each and every health care setting to provide good services in
regards with customers health and not just to make profit. It has been widely required that
companies which provide health and safety assistance should be able to complete their duties and
responsibilities. It has been analysed that several things are there which will give their
contribution in decreasing risk by determining and creating necessary strategies for them. In this
report which is based on the topic of Health and Safety, main aim is to identify various risks in
regards with organisation;s settings and decisions. This report will be on the basis of three case
studies who deals with different problems and their solutions. Several dilemmas will also be
analysed in this report regarding implementation of policies and different procedure which are in
relation with measure of security, safety and health. Legal compliances will also be determined
with the objective to make sure safety and health at the place of work.
TASK 1
1.1 System, procedures and policies so as to communicate health and safety information
There are several legislations that exist in area of heath and safety so as to provide proper
services which are given in care settings like Winchester and Eastleigh NHS Trust, and these
legislations can be described as follows: Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974: In this act, several types of issues which are in
relation with health, safety at workplace and welfare around different sectors will be
considered. In this act, general obligations are there with employees so as to give care to

3.3 Own contribution in order to place safety and health needs of an individual

which can be defined as personal evaluation and professional evaluation. According to the own
contribution in health and safety, it is very essential to ensure actions of oneself which is needed
for minimization of health and safety risks and issues. It makes involvement of risk evaluation,
formation of policies, identification regarding hazards and monitoring or reporting of practices
and policies (Pouliakas and Theodossiou, 2013).
Where there is evaluation regarding own practice or experience, there are various
contributions which are made by me in health and safety care settings in increasing health and
safety of individuals who are getting services in care organisations will be highlighted. The
service users who take residence care in care organisations have various activities and abilities
which cannot be performed in a way which is safe and secure. Some service users also have
trouble while making operations in machines and equipments like electric wheel chair, medical

promotion of safety activities (Lèfstedt, 2011).

According to the case of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, health and safety
practices and policies in a care settings contribute in health and safety of service users and
employees in several ways, and the different practices regarding safety will be efficient in
various ways. For instance, If an organisation will the risk documentation assessment in order to
avoid injuries and accidents in care organisation is used to assess risks and harms which exists in
care settings and which will harm service users and operators.
Effectiveness of various health and safety policies is dependent on making promotions of
health and social care work areas. Promotion of health and social care focus on several different
