1.1 Health and safety at health and social
care workplace is a must and required
aspect as it will provide sense of security
and safe environment to the service user
as well as provider in the health and
social care setting.
Different legislation, policies and
regulations are implemented by
government to ensure safe and secure
practices in health and social care. These
policies, regulations are key to better and
quality care in health and social care
(Braithwaite et al, 2015). Some of the
legislative pieces that are implemented
with view to organize the secure services
and working in health and social care

1.2 Different health and social care organizations have
different set of rules that is required to ensure the safety
and control of the working environment. These rules has
different responsibility regarding service user, provider as
well as organization. As per Health and safety at health
and social care organization act it is mandatory fo every
individual working or at the organization to ensure the
safety of their service user as well as colleagues and
themselves (d'Ettorre and Greco, 2015). It is important
that they should be well trained in order to assess the
risks and identify any kind of harm present to any
individual at health and social care and repot it effectively.
1.3 Prioritizing safety at health and social care
organization is an important aspect for success of
the organization (Kirwan, Matthews and Scott,
2013). Safety ensures the protection to every
individual at the organization including service
user as well as provider (Chassin and Loeb, 2013).
Giving safety importance will ensure better
compliance with the service quality and
management. In the given case also the safety is
major of all to be prioritized and the Dean of the
care home made effort to prioritize safety by
adding regulations for mopping process so that to
improve the statistics of falls and trips due to wet
floors.
