INTRODUCTION
This report highlights the Factor which are driving the change in the organisation. Further these
report highlights the challenges which are brought by the changes. Further these reports
highlights the measure to uncertain the changes and the impact of the changes and in the end it
highlights appropriate response for the change.
LO 1
1.1 Factors that drive changes in health and social care services
There are many factors that may bring changes in health and social care services. These are
explained as below:
Political factor: Government regulations, stability of political parties, policies etc. impact
on working of hospitals. If government makes changes in norms, then health care
provides have to make changes in their practices as per the new regulations. Tower
hospital has to follow these laws and have to provide treatment to Mrs. W accordingly.
Financial support is provided by government to hospitals that helps in implementing the
latest equipment’s so that quality care can be provided to patients (Hutchison, 2018). I
believe that this was not a factor which has affected the health of Mrs. W as finance was
not an issue for them confidence was the issue.
Legal factor: It is most essential factor that drive changes in health and social care
services. Government makes effective regulation in order to improve health care services,
data protection act is followed by Tower Hamlets hospital carefully, administration staff
keep the persona information of all care users confidential. This develops trust of
patients, as in the case of Mrs. W, she has loosed her confidence after falling as now she
is highly dependent on other which has decreased her confidence. As per the legal
guidelines of NHS, nurses are required to develop personal relationship with patients and
have to provide them person centred care so that health of Mrs. W can be improved
(Lewis, 2019). It was a big factor behind the improvement of the Mrs. W health as it has
brought the self confidence of the Mrs. W which has positively affected the health.
Technological factor: This is the major element that bring changes in health and social
care services. In the recent time hospitals can use advance technologies that may support
in diagnosis condition of person carefully and offering them quality services. This brings
positive changes in hospital and support in improving health status of patients like Mrs.

W. Hospital staff can give the, occupational therapy. In my thoughts it has also played a
crucial role in improvement of the Mrs. W health as the updated technology has helped
the Mrs. W in getting more updated treatment.
1.2 Challenges that are brought by key factors of change to health and social care services
Whenever company plans changes then it has to face several challenges. Limited resources
is the major issue faced by Tower Hamlets due to technical modifications. Changes require lots
of investment and if Tower Hamlets does not have adequate funds then it would not be able to
implement these modifications easily (Ojo, 2012).
Another challenge faced by Tower Hamlets due to technological changes in the hospital is
resistance of care providers and no support of stakeholders. In such condition health care
organisation faces huge complications because it fails to implement new norms and new
techniques easily. This impact on overall working of the car unit. In order to make modifications
in Tower Hamlets it is essential to get support from employees, managers and other hospital
staff. But if these stakeholders do not support management then such thing would not be
possible. Sometimes changes create senses of job insecurity among staff members hence they fail
to treat the patients well (Hutchison, 2018). This hamper quality of workers as well. In such
condition Tower Hamlets may get troubled because it has to hire new care providers those who
can perform well in changing situations.
M1 Explain strategy to find appropriate strategy
Healthcare organization should check their internal and external environment by using SWOT
analysis. To solve technological, legal and political issues one should change the staffing roles
after particular period so that every one in the hospital has the knowledge of each role and can
work whenever needed. Healthcare organizations should communicate electronically so in case
of any fraud or misunderstanding their will a proof of it (Hutchison, 2018).
M2 Appropriate techniques and method
To manage change, healthcare organizations should identify the factors that possess change and
prepare employees to adopt change by designing various methods such as giving more incentives
or by reforming organization culture, giving training, invite participation or by demonstrating
strong leaders that can motivate employees to adopt change in the organization and monitor the
success by looking at the plan we established and its actual implementation and determine better
strategies that can be kept in account next time a major change comes (Ojo, 2012).

Conclusion
From the above report it has been summarised that various external factors affect adversely the
health and social care unit. Employee engagement is another challenge that face by hospital due
to these changing factors, as people feel under confident which affect their engagement with
higher authorities.
LO 2
Introduction
These section about the changes which are occurred in the Health and Social care and also shows
the strategy through which changes can be evaluate. Further these section shows the Appropriate
response to the changes.
2.1 Strategy and criteria to evaluate change
There are several of strategy which are used, some of this are as follows:
Inspection of the situation can be the best strategy to measure the change, In this strategy one can
inspect the situation by regularly organising the survey or by evaluating the important document,
In this method the difference in two time evaluation will be known as the change. As explained
in LO 1 that Legal factor has helped the Mrs. W to gain the confidence as nurse use to taught
them the self dependency and the nurse was the one who used to inspect the growth of Mrs. W.
Feedback from user, it is the most efficient strategy as these includes the feedback from the user
who has used the services which helps to known the situation more effectively, change in the
feedback is known as the change.
Evaluation of complaint, In this organisation used to see the changes in complaint and on the
basis of that changes are measured. This is not the effective way to measure the change. In the
case of Mrs. W nurse used to ask them about complaint and any change in complaint helps the
nurse to understand the change in health.
2.2 Impact of recent change in the Health and social care
After going through all the changes it has been measured that there is improvement in the quality
of the individual life. Life spam of the individual is increasing and the people are living longer
than compare to previously. It was also measured that people are now aware of the importance of
the quality life and positively contributing toward the health and trying to take a prevention and
precaution beforehand only which is improving the health of the individual at the same time
people are also becoming independent and feeling free from description. At the same time there

is negative effect also as individual are becoming weaker and more depended on medicines to
live life (Iacobucci, 2018).
2.3 Evaluation and Impact of change in the Health and social care
There are many parties which has been impacted by the change in different ways some party are
as follows:
Family: Change in the Health and social care has helped the family as there is involvement of
the family in the decision making regarding the patient and the views of the family are also taken
before taking any decision regarding patient. Tower Hamlet can maintain Communication
between the family and the provider is also increased as the reason there is clarity of mind for
both the party.
Staff: Due to change in the care, staff is getting good working environment to work in and also
opening the opportunity for the staff to improve the efficiency as proper training are provided to
them
Service Organisation: Due to change in the care, organisation is able to serve the better service
to the customer and also improved the health of public and security of services (Neilson, E.,
2019).
2.4 Appropriate Service response to the changes
Changes always bring a tough task for the organisation to cope up with same and in the case of
change in care the organisation need to response it by monitoring the changes and by giving the
best training to the employee so that they can be able to understand the change, company will
also require hiring the competent employee which can dealt with the changes very easily. Not
just this company will require the adequate funding for all the above response and company will
also require to have a proper education about all the changes and should pass on the same to all
through different channel (Asthana, S).
Conclusion
After going above section it has been summarised that changes in the Health and social care has
impacted in both way positive and negative but the positivizes is having a upper hand on
negative point.
