INTRODUCTION

environment. The report makes comprehensive analysis on different learning styles and personal
reflection on the learning to be established while undergoing the course. Further, in order to make the
knowledge concrete, self-assessment programmes will be designed based on the current skill set and
desired set of skills of the individual. Personal contribution while working with different types of teams
will also be assessed in detail. In the end, a brief conclusion of the report will also be provided to
summarize the learning.
TASK 1
1.1 Comparative analysis of personal values and principals with principals of health and social care
organisation as employee.
HSC plays an important role in possessing organisational goals and it helps to attain aims to
achieve it in an efficient way. In this report healthcare institution like Wellington is able to attain its
objectives in better and proficient way. This helps the organisation to maintain its efficiency in the
manner which will provide clarity in queries made by the patients. Patients will become more loyal to it
and hence, organisation can expand its business to more areas which are deprived of health and social
care. It will enhance its goals and will aid in earning more revenue. This will make organisation more
vibrant and effective in its approach and will gain more profits. This will result into larger customer base
and satisfaction will be more and it will able to attract more prospective customers in their healthcare.
Respect: it is the right of the person to get the respect from all the other peoples in his
surrounging. I as an individual wish to be treated with fairness and courtesy. Respect is laurels
the deserving and self-respect of all people. As working in Wellington hospital I personally
demonstrated courtesy, compassion and respect to others regardless of their diverse background
and life styles.
Confidentiality: every person in the world have the right that their all secreats are kept
private and is not disclosed without their approval. Wellington helps employees and clients in
keeping their information and personal details secured (Emanuel and et.al., 2016). I as an
employee kept all documents issued to me by the hospital confidential to enhance their security.

Independence: Right to speak and keep our views in public is something that everyone desires
for. As per my experience Wellington appreciates every individual’s independence, views and
suggestions (Folland, Goodman and Stano, 2016).
Safety: Safe and comfortable environment is every individual’s priority. Everybody wants to be
safe when they are in crowd. Wellington as my personal experience has a comfortable and safe
environment to work. Safety equipments are used with concern for employees and patients.
Dignity: Human dignity is most important human right and an element of democratic society.
Every individual’s dignity is attached to their morals and values. Wellington inspired me to
respect every human being's dignity (Sallnow and et.al., 2016).
1.2 Assessment of influence of my personal culture and experience to service users at Wellington.
Personal values are the values which are identified with the respect to people and situations which
are dealt with or in the environment in which they are living in (Cordaro and et.al., 2017).
Whereas occupational group values refer to the morals that they adhere to in regard of their action
and business dealings in any system or in any profession.
Personal values that I incorporated in my life are honesty, openness and acceptance towards things
and people, commitment, unbiased attitude and sense of responsibility. I believe that every
individual is equal and should be treated the same (Smith and et.al., 2016).
I as an employee of Wellington always did my best to treat every patient and my co-employees
equally with unbiased acceptance to everybody and fulfilled my responsibility towards work and
patients with all dedication. This value influenced my support to users.
1.3 Impact of new developments and changes on work in Wellington.
As the economy is growing day by day there are several new legislative laws that come up in the
economy, priorities of people change and they have new targets to achieve and to match their
requirements. People do new research to reach their targets (Cheung and Elliott, 2016).
Every individual takes time to adjust to such tensions and conflicts of new changes. I personally
take such economic changes in a positive way and adhere to such situations as it is required to be. Some
economic changes affected my values, principles and work at Wellington but I kept my commitment and
sincerity to work and adjusted to such situation. Every individual should be adaptive to circumstances. I
always follow principle of good practise (Bai and et.al., 2017).

TASK 3
3.1 Nature of different professional relationship in Wellington Hospital.
As I am in placed in an organisation which assist service user and the qualifications they are
having to build a finer future, the professionals I see employed together would be a social worker
and a family person and they might have a strong relationship.
As the GP is their first point to contact the people develop a trusting relation with their GP
Multidisciplinary teams (MDT) is a group of professionals from diverse discipline who are
coming together in providing encompassing assessment and consultation. All of them when put
together as a partnership develops a healthy relationship and coordination (King and et.al., 2017).
Social workers are able to provide information about their services to service user. They work
along with other professionals in a MDT, therefore they develop relation among themselves.
Various other professionals like occupational therapists encourage the health care of service user
and work in support of each other to build healthy relationships (Professional Relationships in
Health and Social Care Context, 2017).
They also provide professional leads, asks for the advice and opinion of their partner organisations
and take advantage of their knowledge and experience this enhance their relationship.
My service user Elizabeth has physical and learning disability. Her health problems are severe, I
reported her issues to the MDT and presented them about professional relations to help Elizabeth
in the best possible way.

3.2 Evaluation of medical health model versus social model.
MEDICAL MODEL SOCIAL MODEL
The problem is individual.
The individual needs to change.
Disabled people become the victim, clients
have no responsibilities and are
disempowered.
Information on impairments are used to
categorise people.
Society create the problems in the form of
barriers.
Need to have improvements in social
awareness.
Disabled people have independence,
control and choice.
Information on access is need to know
basis to ensure inclusion.
Social Model: The social model states that handicap is caused by the way in which society is
unionized, and not by a person's impairment. It looks at ways of removing barriers that restrict life choices
for disabled people. When obstruction are separated disabled people can be independent and equal in
society.
Medical Model: while The medical model of disablement says that people are handicapped by
their impairment or differences (Shanafelt and et.al., 2016). Under this their impairments should be fixed
or changed by medical and other treatments so that they can live a better life like the others.
3.3 Ways to resolve issues encountered in professional relationship.
1. Stop as soon as you encounter some resistance: As soon as you realise that there is a problem
and that issue can be neglected without creating any chaos, one can try to reduce the tension and
avoid conflict.
2. Ask and listen: A healthy relationship is developed when there is mutual understanding. To
respect other's views is important, therefore when in doubt ask and listen to the other person.

3. Discover the problem beneath the problem: One should try and logically analyse the main
cause of problem to actually solve the conflict (Betancourt and et.al., 2017).
