INTRODUCTION
Professional practices in health and social care institution are dependent on a person
centered approach. Values and professional practices conducted by medical staff in health and
social sector have direct as well as significant effect of the quality of services in health and
service institution. The principles in health and social care institution provides guidance to
employees about ethical as well as unethical practices.
The present report have focus on identifying the skills as well as experiences which are
required to be posses by an individual working in health and social care institution. Study will
also professional development plan which will consist of few short as well as long term goals.
MAIN BODY
1. You will need to produce evidence of your skills audited using the SWOT Analysis.
Being a healthcare worker, I have several numbers of responsibilities at my workplace that
needs to be fulfilled with a main intent of delivering effective services to the users. As a
healthcare assistant, I am responsible to work within a wide range of public settings and under
the supervision of various healthcare professionals. Therefore, my nature of work largely
depends upon the area of my work. However, currently, I have been placed in the community
practice and is required to work along with the nurses at my workplace. My duties mainly
involve observing the patients by together monitoring and recording their conditions.
Herein, I need to take their temperatures, check their pulse rate along with their respirations
and weight, etc. Communicating with patients is my foremost responsibility where I also need to
interact with their relatives and carers, etc. Also, I am required to assist with other clinical duties
by taking personal care in terms of preventing infection and control the same with effective
measures. Lastly, promoting a positive mental, nutritional as well as physical health of patients
also comes under my job responsibility where I am together required to check and order supplies
on time (Congress, 2017.). Considering all these roles and responsibilities of my position, below
is a SWOT analysis of mine to determine my own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats-
Strengths-
