Explain circumstances where referrals to other agencies may be required.
In health and social care sector referral to other agencies can be done when a person want
to do something good or beneficial for children. In referral child are send to some other agencies
where they are getting cared by monitoring, therapy or mediation. There are numbers of situation
or circumstances at which there is need to refer a child in the other agencies so that he/ she will
get proper treatment of their medical issues. These issues can be metal or physical and for
different type of problems there are different types of referral agencies are available where
children can be treated according to requirement (Hackett and et. al., 2013). Children between
age of between 1 to 4 years of age face several problems in relation to their development which
can be consider as delayed development of particular child. It consist various symptoms such as
poor neck & head control, muscle floppiness or stiffness, speech delay, difficulty in swallowing,
body posture that is awkward or limp, clumsiness, muscle spasms and delayed sitting, walking or
rolling over. However, these signs are helpful for parents to understand the delayed development
condition of their child in terms of referring them to external agencies. It is favorable to
overcome with the problem of development and make them properly developed. Such as if a
child from age gap of one to four years old is not able to speak things properly due to which their
family, relatives and friends are facing difficulties then in this case they can referral their child to
other agencies so that he/ she will get proper treatment. In this child will get treatment through
speaking therapy, classes, sessions and medicines so that they get recover from speaking issues.
At UAE there are numbers of agencies at which a person can referral a child if they are
facing speaking issue such as NMC Medical Centre, Deira; NMC Specialty Medical Care, Rolla;
Thrive wellbeing Centre and many more. These agencies provide all type of facilities and
services which help a person in getting recover from their issues in proper time. Another
circumstance which leads to referral to other agencies is when a child start having repercussions
due to domestic violence by seeing their family as well as relatives, in this situation child faces
many kinds of issues in this context and starts facing many adverse effects such as in this context
by having several mental health issues and facing physical inability to grown. Then in this
situation respective child can be referral to another agency where they will get proper or specific
treatment for making their mind more prepared of things happening in their families as in some

cases they lack in confidence and in many cases they face depression as well. There are various
clinics at almost every nation and these clinics are owned privately, by Ngo’s or by nation or
state government. Examples of respective clinic are Adonc Medical Centre, Al Dhafra Family
Medicine Centre, Ruwais Hospital, Madina Khalifa Healthcare Centre, Baniyas Healthcare
centre and many more. Along with this sometime children are also referral to another agency
when they are physically sick because at home or particular proper facilities are not given which
impact on their child recovery. This can also be connected to the fact that since birth they were
not given correct attention due to which they lack several skills which are required generally for
any person who is at this critical age growth of one to four years (Whittaker and Cowley, 2012).
