INTRODUCTION
In the first case scenario, discussion has been made on personal values and support
systems that are utilized at the time of delivering health care services to the patients. In this
respect, researcher has stated role of personal values and beliefs which are highly considered in
health and social care settings. Moreover, impact of new development on personal values of
practitioners are also stated in the research work.
Q1.
1.1 Compare personal values with principles of support
Personal values Effects of personal values on principle of
support in HSC
I am highly concerned about my personal
values and beliefs as that helps me to treat all
my patients in effective manner. At the same
time, considering personal values are also aids
me to provide equal importance to all the
patients (Greener, 2008). I never harm the
interest of patients from any ground.
Mainlining the concept of equality and
diversity helps me to derive appropriate
support from all the patients and individuals
working with me (Block, 2006). Thus, this
helps me to provide suitable care services to
the respective patients.
Being a health care practitioner, I believe to
maintain honesty and self- respect while
treating people.
I always ask the patients about the things they
expect at the time of getting services because
they have the right to present their opinion in
decision making process. At the same time, I
also consider cultural and social values of
patients.
I believe to maintain confidentiality and
secrecy in the work practices so that
information about the patients and their
treatment could not be disclosed among other
persons (Burke, Redfern and Marks-Maran,

manner.
Friendship and compassion I ensure to develop friendship with the
patients so that I can communicate
prominently with them. Moreover, I also
listen their queries and doubts so that I can
give them proper responses (Delbreil and

Q2.
1.2 Impact of personal culture on your role
Personal culture and experience Impact of personal values on principles of
support in HSC
I believe to consider dignity for patients In this area of concern, it is essential for me to
provide dignity and respect to the patients so
that they can get the services in effective
manner and this is also useful for the purpose
of delivering quality amenities to the service
users (Delbreil and Zvobgo, 2013). However,
sometimes too much emphasis on cultural
values impedes my roles and responsibilities.

Communication is considered as the key
element that aids me to inform people about
diverse aspects and this also assists me to
adopt new practices while delivering health
care services to the patients. According to the

In health care sector, new developments are facilitated on higher extent which has
positive as well as negative consequences on service delivery aspects. Changes are updated in
health care area; hence according to that it is essential for me to consider all the approaches so
that I can enhance my own effectiveness and competency. I have also observed that there are
certain cases where I do not succeed; hence for that I need to identify the alternatives that can be
adopted to manage all such issues (Halcomb and et.al., 2016). I am also concerned about the
challenges that come in my pathway and that can hinder my performance facets. Further, I
always consider code of practices and new functions so that I can manage my responsibilities in
the best possible manner. Similarly, I use my experience as well as that gives me idea about the
areas of improvement and further development. Henceforth, from the discussion I can say that
personal and professional all the values are essential to consider while managing service delivery
in health and social care setting (Greener, 2008).

CASE SCENARIO 2
INTRODUCTION
Teamwork is an important aspect that plays crucial role in managing the work aspects in
prominent manner. The concept of teamwork is essential for organization and for individual both
because that helps in managing the work practices in effective manner. Hence, in this respect
researcher has stated that contribution of team work and how it underpins the practices. Further,
several barriers related to the same are also discussed in the study.
Q3.
4.1 Effectiveness of personal contribution in working with others as a team
Team work is the most prominent aspect for a health and social care organization wherein
work practices and tasks can be shared appropriately and this is also useful for reaching towards
the determined aims and objectives. As per my experience, I can say that team work is vital
because that helps me to get support from my colleagues and team mates. For a team work, it is
imperative to manage all the people in a specific direction so that together everyone can
contribute in meeting organisational purposes and roles (Mosadeghrad, 2013). For instance -
while working with Care UK as a health care practitioner, I used to manage proper coordination
with the team members so that I can manage organizational work aspects. Since, I used to handle
a lot of cases; therefore it was significant for me to consider the value of team work in all
contexts. I personally feel that team work is essential because that aids in reducing all the
complexities and challenges that might arise while working with people.
I can say that I have contributed a lot in managing team work because I handled each and
every aspect in prominent manner. Whenever, I was allotted any of the team work, I firstly
communicated everything with the team members so that I can maintain things clear between
people. According to my personal experience, I can say that I was a good team member as I
helped every care practitioner while handling complex cases. Moreover, I also came to realize
that being a team leader it is essential for me to hear viewpoints of every team mate because that
has a positive impact on team purpose (Nilsen and et.al., 2016). However, I have also observed
that due to difference in opinion, sometimes clashes occur among people and as a result, this

hampers the overall work process. Hence, I can say that I need to focus on more development so
that I can meet up all the requirements of a team work. As per the personal and professional
development plan, I can say that I need to emphasize more on team building aspects so that I
contribute more in organisational success and effectiveness.
4.3 How to minimize barriers to effective team work
Team work is associated with several challenges and constraints because different type of
people are involved in it. Hence, according to the issues it is vital for each and every participant
to manage team effectiveness so that organizational aim and objectives can be fulfilled
according. There are various ways through which barriers prevailing in team work can be
managed and a few are mentioned as under:
Team leader must involve all the team players in decision making process and from
every extent biasness should be avoided (Strasser, Kam and Regalado, 2016).
Consideration should be given to view point of every team member so that team purpose
can be fulfilled. Moreover, chances of raising the viewpoint should be equally given to
the team members.
In order to minimize barriers in team work, I need to ensure that I am maintaining
proper communication with every team player. This is also essential in fulfilling the
requisites of team dynamics. Further, it can also develop appropriate interaction among
the team players.
Moreover, team barriers can also be avoided through providing equal rights and
responsibilities to all the people (Styhre, Roth and Roth, 2016). This is crucial for
satisfying the interest of team members.
Additionally, I will also ensure that conflicts between individuals are resolved in
suitable manner so that it does not harm others.
Difference of opinion is the major issue that comes in team work; henceforth for every
player it is essential to consider the views and opinions of others in positive manner
(Takemura, Kielmann and Blaauw, 2016). That should not be taken negatively because
it affects the overall team work.
Henceforth, according to my personal experience, these ways can be applied at the time
of overcoming team issues.
