INTRODUCTION
Health and social care is one of the most concern factor for a country or city and due to
which several standards are created and actions plans are developed toward its development. The
current study is based on a borough of inner London. The Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea is a borough of inner London with a royal status. It is considered to be the smallest
borough in London and second smallest district within England and is densely populated which
require more efforts to be put toward maintaining the social and economic health of people living
in that borough (Pritchard-Jones, 2015). To determine that whether the Royal Borough is
spending adequate funding toward improving and increasing the users involvement within
services which they are consuming, it is required to analyse about macro environmental factor.
This can be done with the help of PEST analysis which put emphases toward analysing the four
major factor that are crucial to determine the condition of area, which mainly includes political,
economic, social and technological. Addition to this it includes discussion about the problem
area and recommendation for it.

having mental illness by organising a program usually
created for this area only named as IAPT. It is a
rehabilitation program for the people who are addicted
with drugs and also support homeless people and also
provide attention to cervical breast screening.
 The council of Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea shares the responsibilities with Grater London
Authority in order to formulate strategic policies for
housing, environment and planning of improving
living standard of people. So that local people of
borough get home to live their life more effectively as
it is highly populated city which in turn result into
increasing illness and other health issues such as
cancer due to smoking and inappropriate

mental health issue.

focuses toward promoting and positioning the youth
for the administration of borough so that better
development and growth of the city is possible by
adjusting the governances as per the future need of

information about ways to maintain health for

focuses toward health and wellbeing of people by

support to the people who are affected by the misuse
of alcohol and drugs. But people involve in crime
gang affecting their mental health which is still away
from recovery.
 The Grenfell tower event brings up impact over
several people as around 71 people lost their lives
within this fire and several other residents died later
due to those flames and pollution. Addition to this
some of people faced the displacement, trauma and
property loss. In order make people receiver from this

cases are relatively higher this is so because the people are getting more involved in consumption
of drugs which in turn affecting their health and also lives that are required to be treated in order
to offer a better living to people living in borough (Vamos and et. al., 2016). Another issue in
political system is that Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council work jointly with

central London authority which sometime influence the decision and also restrict the actions that
may affect the development of social and health benefits.
From analysis of economic factor, it has been found that economy of Royal Borough of
Kensington and Chelsea is very much attracting as it have range of support for economic growth.
But there is certain issues like there are number of sources through which borough get its
financial needs get covered but still the employment is not only accessible to people living in
borough. There is a strong connection between the employment and mental health within the
Royal Borough Of Kensington and Chelsea, as lack of employment opportunity bring stress,
depression which in turn create mental issues to the people and affect their healthy living.
Another major issue is that there are several programs for enhancing knowledge of people for
starting and running a business is provided but due to lack of accessibility and knowledge in this
regard people are not enrolled to such specialised course and this also affecting their actions
toward operating business effectively.
Despite of this from social factor it has been identified that the Royal Borough is one of
the most populated area in Inner London and to maintain the well of being of these people

in criminal activities and violence. Their recovery from such condition is a major issue also a
very difficult task.
Other than this from technological factor it has been identified that Royal Borough of
Kensington and Chelsea is also getting the advantage of IT infrastructure for effective
management of borough but the major issue lies in electronic transactions. As the residents
require more appropriate way through which they can send their report to GP which remain
confidential and provide quicker response. Another issue discussed within this research is
information technology infrastructure within Borough is not much adequate and require further
investment for improving its operational efficiency. But to lack of access to such advancement
the quality in service providing is still somewhat low.

Recommendation
After analysing the issues that are presented above, following are certain
recommendations which are presented to work over these issues,
 More security threats must be added to electronic transactions so that the privacy of
confidential information can be maintained and fraud practices can be avoided.
 Research committee must be formed that can work toward determining the children who
are away from the educational service access can be identified and appropriate services
can be granted to them for tehri better wellbeing.
 More and more promotion for the vocational learning for business skills enhancement
must be done so that better awareness can be generate among people to take such
educational and learning services to improve their business functioning and contribute
toward economic growth (Quirk, 2019).
 The legislative policies and standards must be tightening to avoided practices related with
corruption. Along with this the regular auditing must be done to detect fraudulent
practices.
 The authorities of Royal Borough must focus toward removing the unemployment rate
from the city by providing more opportunity to local people of brough so that they have a
better access to services and employment opportunity.
CONCLUSION
From the above performed analysis it has bene identified that the Borough is a place
small then city or mainly a town which is usually smaller which require more concentration to be
made for better health and social care. From this investigation it has bene found that the Royal
Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is a place where business headquarters and small business
are in high quantity as well as the tourism practices are also good which brings up a huge fund to
channel the development of society so it doesn’t require extra fund to be invested. Rather to deal
with issues it require more tighten of administration practices so that issues can be avoided.
