Introduction
Partnership working in health and social care they mostly brings separate organisations
together due to this they could get benefits from resources and power sharing and their main goal
is to improve the quality and efficiency of service provision. In this process all the partners they
works together towards their common goal. Effective partnership working is very essential to
build the positive relationship between health and social care sectors and in addition to child care
sectors because they both require care and support even for those who are involved in their lives
such as families, friends,managers, advocates as well as professionals. To develop a positive
relationship with the young group of individuals and children and their families,so in this way in
health care and social care settings relationships very important.

Explain philosophies and relationships in health and social care working
1.1: Explain the philosophy behind working in partnership
Partnership this is defined as collaborative relationship between two or more peoples
which is based on mutual understanding, trust and equality for the purpose of accomplishing
specified goals. There are numerous benefits of partnership working in the terms of health and
social care, which includes reduction in duplication of services and assessments, as well as an
improvement could be seen in information sharing with patients. Philosophy is a state of
consciousness or mind that can put impacts on behaviours of peoples, values and belief.
Consequently, partnership philosophy is the meaningful and mindset thus there could be a
benefit of communication and collaboration such kind of philosophy emphasizes itself strongly
in a successful collaboration. The meaning of partnership is working together and sharing, it is
well marked as giving respect to one another and right to information, role of division,
competence, accountability, as well as values are granted to an individual input. In other words it
could be explained as power is shared between two peoples or contributing something to one
another, every decision is taken jointly with that each and every roles are respected along with
legal and moral rights (Bolton and Gillett, 2019).
Partnership philosophy
The partnerships this mainly involves risks as well as benefits and further makes shared
accountability critical. philosophy is a thought, concept and mindset which gives benefits in

so due to this reason all the members should show their responsibilities towards their team by
following this reason every individual member should be authorized with necessary tools or
independence. Along with this autonomy must be performed in a good manner and the assigned
roles and also there must be honourable power sharing and policies. There are few terms
teamwork or joint practice, and shared learnings they all are known as partnership philosophy.
Working jointly between health and social care staff this is only the important element for
making better lives of vulnerable children and adults. There are some objectives of joint
working and partnership ;
Improving every information sharing between two professionals.
Improving effectiveness of the care system
Enhancing steps of planning so that health and social care departments gives
complements instead of interrupting each other.
The intellectual child health services or community of Psychological health teams they are the
services of social and health care professionals.
1.2: Explain the potential barriers to working in partnership
There are many families those had different kinds of experience of support from the
professionals which mostly varies from extremely supportive and positive to the poor quality
and this becomes difficult to manage. Families those contacted the CBF report mentioned

There are many different kinds of organisational culture are available which gives a one
potential barrier, every organisations have their different kinds of cultures which are nearly
related to the things around them. Sometimes this process becomes so penetrating that group of
peoples do not understand that the way they are doing things in certain ways or else their
volunteers and staff do not realise that an organisation can do things in many different ways.
There is one example, an organisation gives importance to punctuality but even though
individuals they are turned up late for meetings this means they are disorganized because they
didn't obey rules and regulation of an organisation. This is why they are less trusted, in
comparing to another organisation meetings might be less important and turning up late might be
acceptable, thus in this case both organisations together should begin to work in partnership so
that all assumption could be made earlier. Along with this, there may be some possibilities of
causing some arguments then an organisation can work according to rules or meetings before it
results conflicts.
Communication
There are many differences between organisations potential which may create
communication problems commonly these problems are arises due to the use of word jargon it is
a professional term in everyday language and this might bring difficulty in other organisation and
,this makes people feel excluded from discussions. Those peoples who all are seeking for wider
inputs from other groups,they must make their language right to reduce concerns of power
which barely imbalance the team.

2.1: Critically explore the role of inter-professional learning in partnership working
In healthcare process inter-professional collaboration this helps to prevent adverse effects
of medication or making better patient experience and they give finer patient outcomes these all
reduces healthcare cost (Harris, 2018).
Improve patient care and outcomes
If a patient is suffering from a chest pain and there is a long procedure of testing or
followed by cardiologist and doctors suspected that patient is having heart attack then leading to

emergency surgery or going through the cardiac unit. So this is the procedure followed by
hospitals. Nowadays many hospitals are encouraging patient centred rounds or care team
meetings which includes physicians, primary doctors. Thus in this way it helps to foster both
inter-professional collaboration in healthcare as well as patient – centred care.
Reduce medical errors
In the terms of healthcare, gap in communication could bring costly consequences. The
number of doctors prescribing multiple medications which are misleading patients and such
medicaments are delivered by nurses. This process means having a clinical communication or
group conversation is very essential so, that nurses can provide right information to treat
patients. Therefore these studies shows that inter-professional partnership could be helpful to
reduce adverse effects of drugs or drug reactions or in some case it may decrease mortality rate.
2.2: Critically explore the concept of ‘communities of practice’ and its influence on partnership
working
A community practice is done between a group of peoples who often share their passion
and concerns with each other or how to makes things better as they interact on daily basis. This
statement indicating social nature of human being and this statement is applied for example the
group of engineers who are trying to design better devices or a street gang who are trying or
learning to survive in aggressive world. Providing a useful and meaningful perspective of
learning and knowing is known as community practice. There are various sectors of an
organisation where number of peoples are presently focusing on community practice so that they
can increase their performance.
There are several types of characteristics which are give below;
The domain – Community practice its not only a network of connections between group of
peoples, this is a identification which is shared by domain of interest and therefore their
membership. Which shows commitment to their domain, domain is not a term which is used as
expertise for an external community in this a youth gang dealing somehow with their domain
and how to survive on the streets or how to maintain their identity. They learn from each other
and also they values their collective ability , because only few peoples can do this outside the
group or respect their expertise (Gross, 2018).

2.3: Explain the role of personal budgets and its impact on working in partnership with service
users
The mental health and social work these two terms support independence and recovery
for those group of peoples who are approaching to services. Personal budgets are recently
requested by mental health, which allows users to achieve their goals. Personal budgets are
funding which is given to the users to fulfil their assessed needs. Users they can take their
personal budget as a direct payment or with combination of two. Many evidence express that
using of personal budgets might lead to positive outcomes for all the service users, personal
budgets are evaluated and it found that these are used for well-being of people of mental health
service. Personal budgets showing positive outcomes for users or for choice and control and
enhancing quality of life and there is reduction in use of mental health services, the important
role of personal budget is played in positive outcomes and its a system of collecting resources to
an individuals.

3.2: Evaluate the positive impact of working in partnership
In accordance to studies partnership is resulting where dedicated employee’s deliver their
better services to service users which can improve their health and welfare ,consequently all the
positive outcomes improve autonomy, decision making, service and empowerment. Many
benefits of working in partnership listed below;
1-By doing Sharing costs it builds the funding which goes further and utilized for purchasing,
resources,training .
2- There are range of views for eg making common expectations or moderating assessments
3- Work systems can be shared between two professionals those are interested.
Improving the partnership working may be helpful to gain satisfaction, greater equality, as well
as mutual respect, it becomes easy to make a positive supportive relationship and empowering
while working towards the similar goals (VanderWeele and Koh, 2019).
Advantages of positive impact in partnership are;
1- Bridging the gap in expertise and knowledge – working together in partnership can give
wide scope of expertise which can be utilized for business, and if there is good partner may bring
good experiences and knowledge, skills which might be helpful to grow a business in a proper
way.
2-More cash – If there is right partner who have more strategic connections they can improve
ability to increase growth or finance growth of company in this way working in partnership is
quite helpful. Working in partnership might be on long term basis this is helpful in working for
