PREFACE
Bad along with ill attitude along with ill dialects at present have become a part of the society.
These ill attitudes of the person in the society are polluting the atmosphere of the society. To
protect the society from the bad behaviour proper measures should be taken. The bad attitude
will be eliminated from the society by giving an equally treatment to all the people in the
society without any favouritism. In order to make the community free from the ill treatment
the management should frame plans as well as techniques.
AC1.1 Explain why particular individuals and groups may
be vulnerable to abuse and/or harm to self and others.
The word abuse means to harms people either mentally or physically. The various kinds of
abuse are as follows:
 Physical: the act of harming the people by harming them on their body is known as
physical abuse. In this the abuse is done by touching the body of the other person. For
instance slapping, kicking, hitting etc are physical abuse.
 Sexual: any forceful as well as unwanted treatment done in order to harm the body as
well as the private part of the body is termed as the sexual abuse.
 Self neglect- if a person is causing harm to itself by not taking proper care is self
neglect. In this people doesn’t pays attention on its health, dress etc. makes himself
look uglier in the eyes of others.
 Others rejection- if the person is not considered important by others and are not given
proper benefits that means that they are being abused by others (Krugman, 2010).
There are various causes of abusing, most of the time old women and weak ladies
are being a victim. Whereas, most of the women are dependent on other one’s. So in that
case they can’t protect herself. Moreover, in an organisation most of the people who want
to get high success . But in that situation some of the company has create a bad impact on
that. They done so many wrong things and get abuse.
If a person harms itself either physically or mentally it is known as self abuse. The
people can harm oneself for many reasons. The self harming at last give the person freedom
from the pain as well as trauma he is going through. By the help of self injury one can control

its emotions as well as learn to feel protected (Lambert, 2010).

Now a day it is seen that the people in the society are more prone to cause harm to others.
Below given are the elements that may cause harm to the society. Any of the given elements
present in the individual will create a possibility of ill treatment in the society (Krugman,
2010).
The danger of ill treatment is more in the unsafe adult:
 Improper communication skills.
 Deny taking the help.
 Inappropriate attitude.
 Offensive attitude.
 The need of the service provider as well as the other is not takes into account.
 Do not involve any extra units (Lambert, 2010).
 Depend on the service provider for the economical cause.
 Depend too much on the service provider for the physical as well as psychological
attention.
Risk factor- There are so many risks factor which are affected to individual personality. In
that case most of the people may commit suicide.
Drug availability: this is the one of the major risk factor , in this drug addiction is one of bad
thing in an individual. Availability of drug may occur people do any thing. Some times
overdose of drug is may consist abuse and harm in their physics.
Poverty: This is the also one major risk factor which has create a risk. In this point people
who relay in blow poverty line mostly they attract all those thing which are creating render
impact on the individual personality. In this risk people do anything about concerning
maintain their lively-hood.

AC.1.3: M2 Analyse the impact of social and cultural
factors on different types of abuse and/or harm to self and
others
One can harm oneself as well as others in variety of ways which is related to the social as
well as cultural components. The following are some examples as well as kinds of ill
treatment:
 Due to unequal income domestic violence arises between the husband as well as wife.
 Girls who are of below 18 years of age are made to marry older men forcefully.
 The dressing styles of the wife are objected by their husband as a result they are not
allowed to wear dress of their own(Latkovic, 2010)
 In some places girls do not have any right of education.
As per the study it is observed that mostly the domestic violence as well as the above
stated abuses is experienced in the Asian countries. The woman in these countries bears
the ill treatment of their husband due to fear of their death. The domestic ill treatments are
done as a result of complexity of the masculine gender. They could not see the feminine
gender establishing above them. In countries of other continents the domestic ill treatment
is done in fewer amounts. It is also seen that the people do not comfortable in
approaching the law and order in order to take relief from the domestic ill treatment due
to their colour, inefficiency in communication. This occurs because of the peoples
treatment toward them had made them demoralized and they had loosed all their
confidence (Weiss, 2011).
With the reference of all these types of abuse individual has affected. There are various
ares where create impact on an individual.
Most of the people were commit suicide because they fed up with all this assortments and
abusive nature. They mentally disturbed and do so many mental activities. Most of the
time people who a part of all these abusing where they not physically fit. Which means in
that situation people are feel unhealthy and may occur different - different health
problems.

Equality Act, 2010:
According to the equality Act, 2010 the people in Britain will be treated equally whether they
belong to any gender, race, caste, age etc. This act has replaced many difficult laws and made
things easier. This act is written in simple English so that it could be understood by the
people easily and the work could be done properly.

Under this scheme people are safeguarded from the illegal actions by the social worker,

4 courts which consist of local authority as well as health boards of the specific region.
Strengths
 It saves the people by decreasing the level of the dangers.
 Children are also safeguarded under the POVA.
 People who breach the law and do any illegal activities are severely punished by
suspending from their jobs (Latkovic, 2010).
Weaknesses
 The person convicted for the illegal act is given jobs when they are proved to be
innocent.

they are convicted of any illegal act.
 It is very important for the people to maintain the list of standard and keep it up to

Role of the people working in order to protect the society from the ill treatment are as
follows:
 Social employee- Social employee is a person who is responsible to take care of the
society in the order to make it safe from the ill treatments. The social employee is
responsible to eliminate the ill treatment from the society by taking active part in
resolving the issues related to ill treatment. They encourage the sufferer as well as
their families (Zuckerman, 2011).
 Physiotherapists- They resolve the issue related to people work at home. They
motivated them mentally and help them to lead a standard life without any ill
treatment.
 Doctors- Doctors help the people by giving medication facilities. Their duty is to
make people healthy with their medication. Beside patients they motivates patients
family member mentally by giving moral support (Murphy, 2013).
 Mental hospitals- mental hospital take proper care of the mentally challenged people.
They study the behaviour, sentiments as well as their relation with the community.
With the help of this study they help the patients to cure them with the proper
medication as well as affection and care.
 There are so many provision are established in these type of situation. Whereas
protection acts are being to provide proper security and protection to each one of
clients and individual. In that situation these acts are highly affected to the whole
process of protection scheme. With the help of these provision there is reducing all
abusing problems.

To make the society free of the ill treatment as well as free from its bad effects there should
be proper law in order to control the ill treatment. The law should be framed in such a manner
that it should be effective for the people as well as the society (Krugman, 2010). It should be
in such a manner that it could increase believes of the people over the health care units. Being
the employee of the school it is my duty to take special care of the autism child. I should
make the condition as well as atmosphere of the school in favour of the autism child so that
he could easily adjust in the place as well as feel like at home and feel safe. I should dicuss
with the autism child in such a manner so that it is understandable by the child. I have to at
first understand the problem faced by the autism child so that it could be eliminated properly
in an effective manner. The management of the school should make the other children
knowledgeable about the autism as well as should be told how to deal with these special
children. I should prepare all the rest of the children in such a manner so that they behave
properly with the autism child.
Being social employees it is my duty to make sure that the women going through the
domestic violence to be taken to the care homes and should be treated properly. They are
asked to stay in the care homes freely with their children and lead a normal life. The husband

of the lady on whom the domestic violence is done should be punished by sending them in
the police custody. This measure will help the lady as well as her children to get out of the
trauma of the domestic violence and confidently face the society.
AC3.2. Evaluate the effectiveness of working practices and
strategies used to minimise abuse in health and social care
contexts
Being the employee of the health care centre it is my duty to take special care of the autism
child. I should make the condition as well as atmosphere of the health care centre in favour of
the autism child so that he could easily adjust in the place as well as feel like at home and feel
safe. I should discuss with the autism child in such a manner so that it is understandable by
the child. I have to at first understand the problem faced by the autism child so that it could
be eliminated properly in an effective manner. The health care centre should make the people
knowledgeable about the autism as well as should be told how to deal with these special
children by arranging a seminars, cultural programs as well as workshops. By doing this the
amount of the ill treatment will be eliminated from the society (Hudson, 2007).
Being social employees it is my duty to make sure that the women going through the
domestic violence to be taken to the care homes and should be treated properly. They are
asked to stay in the care homes freely with their children and lead a normal life. The husband
of the lady on whom the domestic violence is done should be punished by sending them in
the police custody (Altman, 2007).
AC3.3. Discuss possible improvements to working practices
and strategies used to minimise abuse in health and social
care contexts
In order to take care of the child who is suffering from autism the communication manner
should be effective so that it could be helpful for the child. The interaction should be done in
such a way that the person taking care of the autism patients can easily get to understand the
problems of the autism child (Murphy, 2013). The health care centre should create a
favourable atmosphere for the autism child so that he could feel comfortable in the healthcare
centre. The health care centre service provider should treat the autism child equally as the
other normal children. When person takes care of the autism child doesn’t treat the child

same as the other children then he should be punished by the management of the health care
centre (Lowenstein, 2010). The person who is going through the domestic violence should
also be created a friendly environment for so that they could live a comfortable as well as
courageous life. Their cuts as well as buries should be properly treated. The person going
through the domestic violence should be motivated to lead their lives confidently so that they
could face any problem in their lives easily as well as confidently.
Conclusion
In this project we could find that the ill attitude as well as treatment is polluting the
community as well as its atmosphere. To eliminate the ill attitude as well as make the
community free as well as safe the management should take effective measures. Effective
laws should be imposed to eliminate the illegal actions in the society. The people should be
made informed about impact of the illegal action on the people as well as society. The people
should understand that this illegal behavior is not suitable for the community. It has ill effect
on the body as well as mind of the people. Due to its various problems arises in the
community.
