objective to render excellent health care services to patients so as they can able to recover their
health issues and disability. In the present era, the Importance of this organisation has continuously
developed because every individual needs this services and care in their life. Further, in this
organisation, the development has been addressed in the various fields. In order to provide effective
protections, security, excellent health care services, government has developed some kinds of
principles and working practices which have to followed by every health and social care
organisation (Alhatmi, 2011). In this project report, the important and value of some health and
social care principles, code of conduct, regulation and legal authority and rights has been addressed.
In addition to this effectiveness of inter professional working and benefits of person central
approach has been also discussed in this report with respect of health and social care organisation.
TASK 1
1.1
In the health and social care organisation, health care experts and service provider play a
very crucial role in order to provide effective health care services and care to patients so as they can
recover their health issues and overcome disability. As per the give n case scenario, as a service
provider in the organisation Jo have various roles and responsibility towards patients. Angela is a 45
year old lady who has suffered from the disability of health. Her parents Mary and Andrew comes
to attend her every five days in a week. Angela wants to live in her own place so she was unhappy
and complaints with services users. Jo was organized case conference with management team and
invite her parents in order to discuss Angela problem (Bernard, 2013). Her mother was become very
angry and accused Jo of putting idea her mind. In this case Jo has to manage the situation by using
calm. In such case of Angela, JO has to adopt some principles in order to manage the situation and
handle Angela in an effective manner. There are various health care principles which can adopted
by the Jo in health care organisation. These are as follows- Principle of respect- As per this principle, health care experts should adopt effective, respect
and polite behaviour in order to treat patients and deal with their family. They should not
adopt rudely behaviour with patients as well as their family member. Further, service expert
are not supposed to use any abuse and any wrong word at the time of operation or treatment
of patients. In case of Angela, Jo has to give respect to Angela as well as her parents Mary
and Andrew.

Principles of independence- Every patient in health and social care organisation requires
some space and privacy so as they can feel comfortable in hospital. Further Health care
experts should treat with patients in such manner so as they can feel special. In the case of
Angela, Jo should provide some privacy and space to her so as she can feel special and
comfortable in the organisation (Bernard, 2013).
Principle of confidentiality- As per this principle, health acre experts are not supposed to
disclose an patient's personal information and detail with any other person. Date and
information of patients should keep safe and secure in the files or folder. No one have right
to share patients information with other person (Earls and Myers, 2010). Jo should adopt
this principle so as Angela can feel secure and keep their information in safe manner.
Principle of listen and support people- Provide information in a way that enables a person
to reach agreement in care planning and exercise their rights to consent to care and
treatment. Openness and participation are encouraged. For those with communication
difficulties or cognitive impairment, adequate support and advocacy are supplied.
1.2
As per the given case scenario, Jo is responsible to provide effective health care services and
facilities to Angela so as she can recover her health issues and disability. Further Jo is also
responsible to protect Angela and her family from harm. Therefore, Jo can adopt the various
suitable measures and method. These measures are as follows-
Adopt the measures of confidentiality- Under this measure, health care experts and services
provide should keep the personal information of client in the safe folder or file. Further they
should prepare a systematic report of patents information and their disability and keep that
in a safe folder or file (Clark, 2011). This action will assist organisation to take an effective
action related to client on a time and overcome the impact of risk in health and social care
organisation. The nature of the obligation to protect confidentiality can be expressed in
terms of three core principles:
individuals have a fundamental right to the confidentiality and privacy of information
related to their health and social care;
individuals have a right to control access to and disclosure of their own health and social
care information by giving, withholding or withdrawing consent
when considering whether to disclose confidential information, health and social care staff
should have regard to whether the disclosure is necessary, proportionate and accompanied
by any undue risks.
Measurement of risk for potential harm- Service provider should adopt the qualitative and
quantitative measures in order to reduce the impact of risk. The impact of risk can be
physiological, emotional and physiological which largely affect the health of patients.

through which health care experts and service providers can provide effective protection and safety
to service users. It is an approach to nursing focuses on the individual's personal needs, wants,
desires and goals so that they becomes central to the care and nursing process. This can mean
putting the person's needs , as they define them above those identified as priorities by health care
professionals.
As important part of this theory is that in a particular psychological environment, the
fulfilment of personal potentials includes sociability , the needs to be with other human beings and a
desire to know and be known by other people. It is also includes being open experience, being
trusting and trust worthy, being curious about the world, being creative and compassionate.
As per the given case scenario, Jo can develop an effective mutual understanding between staff
members and patients in order to render health care services to them. Angela can highly beneficial
Jo adopt this person central approach because through this Jo can focus on Angela health and her
disability. (Glasby, 2012) Further he will give that required facility and treatment which actually
Angela required. For example, by use of this approach, Jo can able to understand the Angela's
problem related to organisation's facilities and services. Further he also identifies that why Angela
wants to live their own. So he can able to identify an appropriate solution of Angela problem.
1.4
As per the given case scenario, Angela is a 45 year old lady who has suffered from the
disability of health. Her parents Mary and Andrew comes to attend her every five days in a week.
Angela wants to live in her own place so she was unhappy and complaints with services users. Jo
was organized case conference with management team and invite her parents in order to discuss
Angela problem. Her mother was become very angry and accused Jo of putting idea her mind.
Angela also gets very upsets and accuses her mother of not wanting her to have her own life. In
such case, Jo have responsible to manage the situation with use of calm and agree to speak to
Angela's parents separately, with Angela's consent (Heginbotham, 2012). As per this case study, Jo
have faced very confusing situation because Angela wants to live her own life and her mother not
wanted her to have her own life. Jo has very confused between both of them that is Angela, and her
mother. In this ethical dilemma arisen at the health and care organisation and Jo has responsible to
manage such conflict situation. In order to resolve this conflict he can use the following measures -
In order to overcome such conflict situation, Jo can understand separately both individual
situation and their priority. Either he can support to Angela or her mother in the health and
social care organisation.
In such situation Jo have to adopt such measures through which he can satisfy both Angela

and her mother. In addition to this he can send personal social workers or health provider to
the Angela home for provide heath care for Angela father.
In such situation, Service provider Jo can develop such solution through which Angela and
her mother both can able to get the equal services of health care.
TASK 2
2.1
Being a worker in an independent consultant bi have various roles and responsibility
towards organisation. As per the give n case scenario, An advocacy organisation which is
supporting children in local authority care supporting children in local authority. As a independent
consultant, I have to produce a web page under which detailed account of legislations and
guidelines related to the provision has included. On addition to this t have also responsibility to add
provision of support, care and protection for vulnerable children and the general principle for
safeguarding service users defined as vulnerable. Following are some code of conduct, provision of
support and general principles which I have included in the web page-
Equality act 2010 In order to provide the equal protection and carte to entire patients
in the health and social care organisation, government have
developed this act. By use of this legislation, service providers and
heath care experts can not discriminate any patents on the basis of
age, gender, region, culture, and other personal references (Jackson
and et.al., 2011). All patients in the organisation have right to take
the equal health care facilities and services. As per this act, all
patents should treated equality in the organisation and services and
facilities should be given to them according to their requirement.
Care Act 2014 This is an important act and legislation which is developed in order
to provide the right care and health care services to patients in the
health and social care organisation. As per this cat in the social care
organisation, service providers are bounded to render that heath care
services and facility with is related to patient health issues and

disability (Keeling and et.al., 2013).
Children act 2004 1. As per this act there are some official administration
considered helpful to children, notably bringing all local
government functions of children's welfare and education
under the statutory authority of local director of children's
services. This act was created with a certain set of goals. It
primary purpose was to give boundaries and help for local
authorities and other entities to better regulate official
intervention in the interests of children.
2.2
As per the above discussion it has been ascertained that as an independent consultant in an
advocacy organisation I n the city I have support to children in local authority care. For this I have
to prepare a web page along with the effective detailed account of legislations and guild lines that is
related to the provision of care, support and protection for vulnerable children and the general
principles of safeguarding services user defined as vulnerable children.
According to the given case I am responsible to prepare web page for the vulnerable
children so as they can gain the effective protection against the unethical and illegal actions. In
order to attain this purpose I can use the national policies and procedures. The code of conduct will

assist me in converting local policies into the national policies. By use of this practice, vulnerable
children can gain the advantage of safety and protection (Liveng, 2010). Further, service users in
the health and social care organisation also can able to protect their self by unethical and illegal
action at the organisation. In addition to this patients have rights to get equal health care services
and facilities so as they can recover their health issues and disability.
2.3
As per the previous discussion it has been founded that service provider can use the various
local policies and practices by consider the national code of conduct. By use of these mentioned
practices and policies, service providers can easily understand the patients actual health issues and
disability (Lloyd and Marjorie, 2010). Further they can make effective efforts to overcome health
issues of patients. This local and national provision are very beneficial for the children protection
and well-being. With assistance of this organisation can render effective heath treatment and
solutions to children. Further it can protect them from unethical and illegal activities in the society.
TASK 3
3.1
As per the given case scenario,COC recently published the finding an inspection of services
provided at a tower hamlets care home and report was discussed in the team meeting. As per the
investigation it has been founded that organisation has not used proper management in order to
protect patients and recover their health issues. There have a poor management under all patients
have faced the issues related to their health care services and facilities. In order to overcome this
health issues and poor management, organisation has recently hired a new worker. In order to train
them organisation conduct a seminar under which various effective theories that underpin health
and social care. In order to understand the human growth and development, there has various
theories explained. These are as follows- Development theory- This is the best theory which provide the detail about individual
development. As per this theory, individual growth are depends upon the time factor. As
time is increase, individual growth also increase (Lu and et.al., 2010). The growth of the
individual such as age, weight, height, health, body structure can increase by the time. These
all are external aspect in the individual personality which can developed according to the
time. On the other hand internal aspects such as ability, skill, knowledge, capability, strength
etc also increase according to the time.
Model of kubler Rose- As per this theory of individual development, there are five stages
related to the denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. This theory focuses in

managing the stress, losses, and alterations of individual life. In this five stages, there have
various changes in the individual life (McKeown and et.al., 2011). In the first stage,
modification in the individual life defines, in the second stage it shows the cations that take
by individual to deal with it. Third stage is put off the alteration as per the changing
situation. In the last stage , individual accept those changes by the person and live the life by
managing the conflicts.
3.2
Every individual wants to connect with someone in their life. Person is a social animal who
wants always connected with society. In the absence of society, human being can not survive their
personal life. Social process is very important aspect for the patients as well as services provider s
in the health and social care organisation. By increase the social interaction with the society, social
care workers and health experts can increase their knowledge, skill, ability and capability. With an
individual connect with someone then he/she can earn the knowledge, ability and something new
from them. Social process means by which culture and social organization change or are preserved
With assistance of social process, health care experts can share their personal issues related to
working practices and find an appropriate solution of work based problem (McSherry and Pearce,
2011). They can find an appropriate criterion of working and best contribution to overcome the
health issues and ability of patients. As a patient point of view, social processes is also very
important because by use of this process, patients can overcome their tension and stress related to
health issues and disability. By sharing their feeling, emotions with other, they may feel relax and
healthy in their life. For an instance, a person who is living below the poverty line restricts him to
establish a social process to any other person. By use of this social interaction they can able to feel
happy and relax in their life. Social processe such as

3.3
Inter professional working is an effective method of improving the organisation productivity
and performance. In this concept, all professionals of organization work together and understand
each other working criteria. Inter professional working is a process under which all health care
experts and workers share their views, suggestions, criteria of working, knowledge, experience,
skills, ability and capability with each other (Morgan, 2013) It is best approach in the health and
social care organisation through which all heath care professionals and service providers can
exchange their working criteria, skill, knowledge and experience with each other in order to
improve the quality of performance and achieve the predetermined objective of organisation. With
assistance of this method, service providers can able to render effective and quality services to their
patients and overcome their health issues and disability. Following are evaluation of inter
professional working- Address the service users expectations- By use of inter professional working approach in

the health and social care organisation, health care experts can easily address the expectation
of service users. By this approach all health experts share their skill, views, suggestions,
experience, skill with each other. (Ndetei and Gatonga, 2011) Through this they can enhance
their ability and capability and adopt the criteria of collective working. In the organisation,
when they perform in an collective manner so they can easily solve the major issues and
render effective services to service users.
Develop health working environment at workplace- In the health and social care
organisation, when all heath experts adopt the approach of inter professional working then
they adopt the criteria of collective working. Through this they can able to develop an
effective and healthy relationship between them and openly communicate with each other.
This will assist in improving the working environments' workplace.
