2.1 Implementation of policies, legislation, regulations and codes of practice in health and social
care
Policies residential care home are established to ensure effectiveness and best quality if
health care services. The care home has established two most effective policies and regulation to
ensure security that is Data Protection Act and Health regulations control of hazards material
regulations. In accordance to this, the data protection act ensures that the services users are
giving appropriate information and health practitioners are keeping the confidentiality of every
information regarding patients. Apparently the Health regulations control of hazards material
regulations is focused on safe use of hazardous substances and chemical which can cause harms
to service users as well as to workers of residential care home (Ruser and Butler, 2010).
2.2 The impact of national policy, legislation, regulation, and codes of practice on the
organisational
policy and practice
The policies and practices in care home assist the management in making the process
simple and easy. The national policies with regard to care centre are formulated keeping in mind
the stability of all care centres whereas the organisational policies are enhances by care home
according to requirement (Rogers and et.al., 2014.). The policies in organisation are formulated
keeping in mind the impact of national policies. Further, it assists the care centre in managing
internal confidentiality of information, ethical practices, conflicts management between workers
etc. The code of practices set under national policy assist the care centre in adapting changes
from external environment whereas the organisation code of practice assist in managing changes
in internal environment. Thus, the polices, practices and legislation assist residential care home
in carrying stable health care services.
4.1 Role, responsibilities, accountabilities and duties in the health and social care workplace.
The responsibility of practitioner is to provide effective health care service environment
in care centre. When delivering services to service users it is the responsibility of health care
practitioner to ensure that the information of patient is confidential and is only between doctor
and family or immediate guardians (Pouliakas and Theodossiou, 2013). The roe of service
provider to make sure that the dosage and medication provided to patient is appropriate as per the
prescription., The responsibility of practitioners plays a major role in recovery of services users.
On the other hand, the providers are accountable to all the effective and ineffective practices at

residential care home. Thus, it is the foremost responsibility of service providers to ensure
ethical and appropriate health care practices in an organisation.
4.2 Contribution to the development and implementation of the health and social care
organisational policy
Organisational policies plays a major role in establishing smooth flow of health care
practices. In my opinion, Policies assisted in reducing the change of conflicts and
misunderstanding in residential care home as it helps the form in establishing smooth flow of
function according to individuals duties and capabilities. Staff loyalty and correspond to the
organization's policy, enhanced the working spirit of employees in health care centre. The
development of implementation of organisational policies assist the residential care centre in
establishing the acre operation and services to services for patients.
4.3 Recommendation
This helped me in learning various heath practices which assist in improving
management and effectiveness of health care services.
Organising regular training and development session can assist residential care home in
improving the health care practices (Samur and Intepeler, 2017).
Keeping health care practitioners updated about the changes in policies and practices is
the best strategy which can assist in increasing effectiveness in services.
Regular knowledge and learning and following the principles and values can help in
improving performance of health care services.
