In modern scenario, it has become highly essential to look out for the personal and professional
development of an individual in health and social care. Maintaining health and social care within
the workplace is something which can be stated as one of the major essential factor for the
company (Trede, Macklin and Bridges, 2012). Giving out the proper data for the roles and
responsibilities for an individual for the patients who are coming for services of health and social
care at the workplace and this can be stated as the major aim of this report. Company taken for
this report is to NHS which is a social health care service provider for the patients. There are
various things which will be discussed in this report like data regarding the development plan
and personal and professional values of an individual at the workplace. Various techniques need
to be adopted for enhancement of skills of the people who are working at health and social care.
1.1 Comparison of personal values and principles with the support of working within
workplace
This can be stated as platform of workplace in which all the factors are dependent and
interrelated to each another. It is highly essential to for every kind of health care practitioner to
understand the importance of principles of support within the workplace. It is highly essential to
structure the proper principles so that it can be ensured that the personal values of a person can
be taken care within the workplace. This kind of principles are highly based upon the values,
beliefs along with the culture of people which are being attached with the health and social care
workplace. There are number of people who are working in the health and social care and thus
their principles are highly based various factors like instrumental values, personal values,
political values, social values, religious values and many more. In the personal values it majorly
includes politeness, honesty, being gentle and working with dignity and transparency
(Rutherford and et. al., 2012). There are even more who plays crucial role in personal values
while working and serving the patients.
