INTRODUCTION
Healthcare has to be key role player in maintaining health of the children so that they
may not be driven way by obesity. Obesity is a serious issue in health of the children as it
deteriorates them in negative manner. This report deals with contemporary issues in health and
social care. Government and healthcare organisations are playing effective role so that they may
educates the masses about the serious repercussions of obesity on children's health. It imparts
various diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol and chance of stroke which needs to
eradicated by healthcare (Steinbock, London and Arras, 2013). The repercussion of health of
children are threat because obesity needs to be stopped to totality. For this, low calorie food
should be eaten by children and regular exercises will be reduce the risk of obesity in children.

Media plays an important role in presenting information. The media have positive and negative
impact on HSC. The positive data may negatively impact upon people if it is not presented in a
proper manner. Television has been successful in outlining the information on health issue
which is obesity in children. Internet has also effective way to deliver information to public at a
large. Social media is helpful in conveying message to people within short period.
Obesity can be solved by providing information through leaflets and educational campaigns as

awareness about the ill effects of obesity can be successfully delivered to them in effectual
manner (Arnold and Boggs, 2015). By this manner, media helps to make people aware about
the threat of obesity in children.
The service user can effectively take and access the data by referring to the data provided by
media. Reliability means accuracy and consistency of presenting the information whereas
validity means the procedure through which dependable information is determined. Media has
strong reliability and validity of the data to convey information to public. Obesity in children is
a serious issue as children tend to lend into other diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure
and also high cholesterol (McCombs, 2017). This issue has to be stopped so that children may
not tend to come in contact with such harmful diseases in little age. Media has a high level of
credibility and masses rely on them quite effectively. However, government spoke persons play
an important role in communicating between people and media so that information becomes
clear and transparent. Having awareness about validity of data, service users will be able to
avoid from referring invalid of perished information. The information users may be able to
assess the validity of data by comparing with another source. This will give them transparency

for circulating information and this is useful as obesity among children is a serious issue.
Moreover, NGO also another useful source for information providing to the public. It has
validity and quickly impacts people.
Hereby, obesity issue may resolve with help of media so that information is being provided to

provide relevant set of information as a principal need for encouraging people to adopt positive
changes in their incorporated habits. Obesity among all is stated to be the most sustainable health
problem in the globe. It is basically at the time when the nationalities become unable to decrease
the dispersal of such local issue and it hazardously develops as a cause behind resulting into a

upon specific HSC issue which is like obesity which become a major problem among people
nowadays. When the people start to thinking on the obesity and try to gain knowledge about the
HSC issue then able to make proper solution of the diseases incurred. Apart from this, when
thinks on this particular aspect then easily able to determine all the impacts and consequences of
obesity. When looking at the general then obesity is root of all the HSC issues and diseases like
blood pressure, heart problems, thyroid, diabetes etc. When people attract and engage towards
the information, news and education of contemporary issues of HSC then able to know these all
the consequences of obesity (Greig, Entwistle and Beech, 2012).
Apart from this, mass media is one of the highly best and appropriate method which
supports to make local community educate about contemporary issues of health and social care.
Under the stated technique, traditional and modern both kinds of strategies involved so that,
people of every age can gain knowledge related to obesity and its consequences properly. In

Hereby it can be concluded that healthcare organisations need to educate public about the
ill effects of obesity on health of children so that they may live healthy life. The risk of obesity is
increasing day by day because children are eating snacks and oily foods on regular basis which is
a serious threat to their life. As a result, different diseases are affecting their health such diabetes,
high cholesterol, heart disease and many more which needs to be eradicated too much extent.
Government and healthcare organisations both have to play important role so that it may spread
education to the public and as a result obesity can be reduced in effectual manner.
