cigarettes by justifying that a recent study has proved that about 12% teenagers are addicted to
nicotine. The health implication of the story is that as teenagers are interested in vaping, this new
craze can increase addiction to nicotine which could adversely affect adolescent brain.

This news story by Boseley, S. (2020) is important as the culture of vaping is increasing
and many countries like UK are endorsing vaping as an aid to control smoking. However, the
news article brings forward evidence based justifications to explain how the safety of vaping is
misleading. The articles raises concern regarding the popularly of vaping among youths in
countries like US and different perception of health regulation in different countries regarding
promoting or banning cigarettes. Thus, this article echoes the need to have a universal idea and
viewing vaping not just as an agent to reduce death but also to reduce any form of harm.
Section C:
The post by my classmate gave idea about endometriosis as a debilitating disease for
Australian women. The main insight given was that diagnosis of the disorder is taking 12 years
as health care professionals lack training. The post does not clearly define the significance of the
topic and lack of proper explanation regarding the cause behind delayed diagnosis makes the
discussion incomplete. It was necessary to clearly explain why news is a medical breakthrough
and how it can contribute to improvement in health. For example, discussion related to
implication of the news on improving diagnosis issues would have made it a good post.
