AI Summary
This report assesses the health and wellbeing of a neighbourhood, focusing on its active and healthy design features. The student conducted a neighbourhood analysis using an active, healthy community design checklist, evaluating factors such as walking routes, cycling paths, traffic systems, and access to essential services like workplaces and hospitals. The neighbourhood was found to be well-planned with good walking routes and safety measures. However, the report highlights the need for more green spaces and improved access to workplaces and hospitals. The student concludes that the neighbourhood is generally supportive of health and wellbeing but suggests improvements to enhance the lifestyle of residents, emphasizing the importance of considering health maintenance in both individual and community contexts. HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Health and well being of a community are very much important for maintaining the
healthy living factors. Hence, I can reflect that the need of the healthy environment development
and presence of proper environmental resources are the factors that can be helpful in the process
of health and well being maintenance. On this context we have surveyed the neighbourhood of
116th street Avenue 96 94 94A. we found that the neighbourhood is very much well planned as
per the housing, stores, schools and also the walking route. The traffic system is properly
maintained and also the car and bike routes are present to avoid any kind of traffic. Moreover,
the place is comprised of proper walking routes all over and it is very much helpful for the
people to walk around and maintain the health by everyday walk easily. The factor of the safety
is also maintained with proper traffic lights, cross walks and also making the house and store mix
plan. Thus, the area is found to be one good place for maintaining health and well being of
people (Giles-Corti et al., 2016). However, the factor of not having enough plants or flower
make the place a bit of gloomy and suffocating as well (Douglas, Lennon & Scott, 2017). Thus,
the community should focus on plantation and make the place beautiful. On the other hand, the
factor of the access to workplace and hospital is not addressed properly as these facilities are not
nearby and people have to take public transport or car to access these areas. Hence, it can be
stated that the neighbourhood should focus on developing hospitals and if possible, the
workplaces as well. However, the transport system is efficient and frequency of the transport
system are good enough. Based on all these assessments I can state that the process of the health
and well being maintenance the neighbourhood is one the good places. The condition of the
neighbourhood is well maintained and also supportive to the people living in the place. On this
context I can mark this place as overall good and also helping the people to sustain against the
negative environmental status as well. Hence, I can also state that the process of the health

maintenance is very much needed factor in terms of individual and also the community and this
neighbourhood is maintaining it quiet efficiently. However, some of the factors should be
improved in terms of making the lifestyle easier and maintaining the health and well being
properly (Wills, 2016). Hence, I can finally state that the improvement is required for better
outcome and the change should be focused on the positive health maintenance. However, the
condition of health in the community is good enough and would be improved if the above-
mentioned changes will be addressed as well. In terms of the health and well being maintenance
the effective changes should be considered and the present situation should also be maintained as
well (Pfeiffer & Cloutier, 2016).
