Introduction
Application development is a simple type of processes set which involved some procedures and
software, e.g. web applications, mobile applications. This is simply known as a process for
creating apps which are run at any mobile platform( Android, IOS). It also includes some other
feature inside it like massive data storage and other complex business. Every application
development process also includes some basic terms or steps in it like designing, testing,
implementation etc. application development further divides into some parts to analysis the web
and applications.

LO1 Produce a Software Design Document by analysing a business related
problem and deduce an appropriate solution including a set of initial
requirements.
P1 Explore a business-related problem and produce a well-defined Problem
Definition Statement supported by a set of user and system requirements.
As the problem which is given and defined for a healthcare centre in this business related
problem, it may consist several requirements, which is consist various types of healthcare policy,
investment related to the file, the precision of medicine and so on. a simple or small business
face many types of business problem in it like :
 Lack of funding
 Targeting and retaining
 Proper marketing
These are the simple problems which are related to business purpose, the basic problem which is
related to the given scenario is there are several types of information and documents are
necessary for the process which is usually recorded on database of the application, like the basic
purpose of this service is to form a application for a hospital which is fulfill and match all the
requirement related to the server like (Msg, 2019).
 Firstly the specialist requires to fill the full name, room and other formality to register in
the hospital.
 Contact details, address and number.
 Various kind of certificate (university, medical, training)
 Other documents
 Booking of any room in the hospital must be before 2 weeks.

These are the basic given requirements which need to be implemented first while registering and
implementing the service application and this also consists as the problem statement of any
business requirement because for implementation and fulfil the other requirement user has to
match and satisfy all the condition (which is related to the session, time, payment). In this
statement, all the user set which is related to system and user are a specialist and the patient who
will register themselves in this application and for this, there is various type of information
related to the user and system is must be followed.

P2 Determine any areas of risk related to the successful completion of your
application.
There are various type areas of risks are present which is related to any completion of application
successfully. Areas which is related to risk is assessing, identify and averting the risks which are
actually and virtually related to the different area of the hospital. There are various types of risk
present which has to face in any completion of the application (Guru, 2018).
 Medication error
This is the basic type of risks present in any hospital application and healthcare, but there are
some major category risks also involved in this kind of application like:
 Technology-based risk
 Clinical and patient safety based risk
 Financial based risk
These are the basic areas in which risks are present, like
Technology-based risk: In technology-based risk it is related to when the client and as well as
the specialist is not able to take and accept phone calls and another process which is related to
network and other services, but due to technology issues client are not able to use all the services
and as well as the register themselves due to some error in technology(Spacey, 2016).
Clinical and patient safety based risk: Clinical risk involved the quality and safety of the
patient and also when it is tough for the user-patient to identify all the circumstances and
opportunities (M, 2010).
Financial based risk: In this risk, it simply includes the transaction of money and other
payment, which is related to the patient and other users, it also involves company’s loan,
exposure and other loan default.

M1 Analyse a business related problem using appropriate methods and produce a
well-structured Software Design Document that defines a proposed solution and
includes relevant details on requirements, system analysis, system design, coding,
testing and implementation.
For analyzing the business related problem it includes some few effective steps in it :
 Identify multiple solutions which is possible
 Prioritize the potential solution which is present
and also to analyze the business related problem it includes some basic methods in it is like :
 Analyze starting point: It is a simple process which includes identifying the process,
issues and other business-related problem.
 Identify current business process: In this process, it includes some basic diagram which
consists detail of the existing business process and the current detail of the process.
 Requirements: Identify the requirement and simply define the process through
observation, research and review the other groups which also include in it.
For producing a structure of software design document we need to the description of the users
and all members involved in it, and list which is related to all the relative constraints of it.
Software design document cycle also includes some key points in it:
 The system analyzes: In this, it includes to identify all the requirements related to a
given application, build all cases which are related to the service and the application, and
also the protocol and tool used in it.
 System design: System design includes all phases and another requirement which show
how the application is written inside it, in technical requirement it includes database
detail and other payment, transaction and security process. It includes 2 more analysis in
it like:
1. Risk analysis: Which include threats and other vulnerabilities which show all the
process of that application which arises while the interaction of another system.
It also includes functional and non-functional requirements as well.

 Coding: It includes the actual coding which is involved in the application, it is an
important phase of any SDD to code phase and makes the term flexible.
 Testing: Once the application is migrated then different types of testing is performed like
acceptance testing, integration and system testing (Bourgeois, 2019).

LO2 Use design and development methodologies with tools and techniques
associated with the creation of a business application.
P3 Research the use of software development tools and techniques and identify any
that have been selected for the development of this application.
In software development tool it includes computer program in which it includes used to create
the code program, debug and maintain and support other application and program. For software
tool it consist CASE tool which is used as the set of software application and also for
automating software development activity, and as well as for the analysts, and for this
application basic tool which is used in it is Linx, which is a simple low code IDE and server, this
tool is used for integrating application and other web services which use effective workload. This
is an effective tool because:
 In this tool, it is very easy to drag and drop interface
 Various types of pre-built functions are defined.
 For the backup process, it is also used.
 Input, output, and nearly use of the database is also used as the tool of any software
development.
Same as the tool there is various types of methodology and techniques also used to solve the
software development in it which include various model and methodology like:
 Waterfall model
 Spiral model
 Agile software methodology
These are the simple techniques which involved and consist of software development techniques.
Waterfall model: It is the most common and important technique which is used in software
development. it also includes a simple linear process and sequential flow for the phase of any
development. It is consist of very easy and simple method and technique to understand. and, also

it is very easy to manage any process which is involved in it. It follows all the functional
requirement in it (Wyatt, 2009).
