through analysis of the current status on Australian labour market with respect to chosen
employment sector in health service area. The sectors that will be analysed in this report are
the aged care and disability services. A detailed and through analysis in these sector will be
analysed with the view of career relevancy and opportunity in the fore mentioned sector. In
order to do that past and future employment and unemployment data will be analysed in this
report. Not only that, this report will also look into the future perspectives and possible future

The aged care and disability service segments are among the important healthcare segment
(Kulik et al., 2014). The number of the job opportunity has been increased steadily in this
segment over the past 5 years. This segment will increase from 163,700 in 2017 to 241,200

Presently, I am pursuing the course of masters in nursing international. This course can be the
stepping stone for the career as a registered nurse. During the course of our masters study, we
were taught to be taking care of the patients in need this can be very much influential for the
desired career path as a registered nurse. The course material helps us to hone our skills in the
particular area which are required for the jobs in the aged care segment, social aid and
disability services. These segments are of particular interest as our learning material in
nursing like patient care, rehabilitation, and support polices can be utilized in those sectors.
Therefore, it will be easier to entry in those sectors as fresher because we will already have
the required criteria. However, in any case, learned skills which have been acquired through

absolute necessity.

of healthcare industry which will be hugely advantageous for my career to enforce my
learned theoretical competencies as well as practical competencies.

position of registered nurse in community healthcare, disability services, and aged care. My
primary job searching strategy would be to establish a list of institutions in which I would

professional events related to the job opportunity inside the University of Wollongong as well
as their career centre. This will similarly accompanied by using professional services in
perfecting the cover letter and resume writing. It can be improved by attending University of
