life. Quality of life in general sense is measured on the basis of health, emotions and functioning
of an individual in terms of happiness and so on. There are different factors which will have an
influence on the quality of life. These factors are important for every individual but are
extremely important for the care workers.

Intellectual factors: Stimulation helps in keeping the mind in an active state and stay at
alert (Elera-Fitzcarrald and et.al., 2018). It prevents form boredom and depression which is
caused by not having anything interesting to do. Stimulation such as engaging in story telling to
children, increasing the time for visiting hours and solving puzzle helps in making life interesting
and to be motivated. Engaging in other activities is also a great way of being occupied. These
activities provides a sense of well being and makes them feel worthwhile along with providing
chances for social interactions.
Emotional factors: Every individual has the right to have privacy. This will create
opportunities to be unobserved. It is possible that people will like to share their problems and
other sessions in more confidentiality. Lack of privacy makes them feel less valued. Dignity is
provided by treating each individual with some respect and not demeaning them will keep their
self esteem high and positive. Approval is about showing a sense of affection relating to
someone's action. It helps in maintaining positive self esteem and having values with the actions.
Social factors: It includes social contact which is an opportunity to meet with other
people and without this factor, individuals will be isolated which might lead them towards
depression. Social contact can be formed on the basis of age, likes and dislikes and also the
interests of an individual (Blasdell, 2017). Social support is different from social contact is the
former is more personal. Support is received from the people which the individual has a trust on,
it is someone from the group of friends or family. It helps in providing emotional security and
sharing the problems in order to have help in solving it.
Techniques for caring
Every individual is looking for a ways to grow and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Caring is
the process which helps the individuals to meet the needs of being healthy and active while
helping them into supporting their life regarding the quality factors. Carer play a huge role in the
process of influencing others and to attain the outcome of care. These techniques can have both
positive and negative effects. Some of carer skills and techniques are:
Encouraging: It is important for a carer to encourage in a way which offers motivation
as well as support for the service users to get through the difficult times and different stages of
life. It is important to encourage the individuals to strengthen their behaviours and improve their
health and well being. Every likes to be praised in an encouraging manner and will thus result in

increasing the chances of repeating good behaviour and gradually become more standard. It is
important for a carer to not show any objection with the individuals when they are not ready to
increase the well being. This way the information is provided which is related to the effects of
behaviours on each individual in more unique and free way.
Observation: This can be categorised into different types such as medical observation
and visual observation. Medical observation is related to the process of collecting the data ad
information with the help of taking measurements of body temperature, blood pressure, pulse
rate and so on. On the other hand, visual observation is about noticing the changes happening in
the behaviours of the individual which includes their food intake and wakefulness (Gettis and
et.al., 2018). It is important for the carer to be proactive when taking care of an individual.
Proactivity help in anticipating what might happen generate potential responses accordingly in
the prior basis. It helps in avoiding the retro-active behaviour where measures are taken after the
deed is done. It is done with the process of observation and noting down the changes happening
in the individual. It results in preventing from the future complications in the individual caring
process while making sure that the treatment continues.
Distraction: This technique is used to handle the temporary pain and anxiety. When an
individual will continue to think about the discomfort, it will only increase. But, when the main
attention of individuals are focussed to something else, it will result in decreasing the suffering
and making the stress to be reduced. A carer can help the individual in creating their own kind of
distraction technique.
Self perception: It is necessary for the individual to recognise the feelings if the service
user in an quite accurate way along with its needs and requirements. The intentions of such
individuals are depicted with the help of facial expressions, their body language and the tone in
the voice. Intuition is an important key for a carer to receive the non verbal signs (Andersson,
Öhman and Garrison, 2018). Effective communication can be done by having eye contact and
the one who is avoiding having an eye contact is most probably hiding something and being less
truthful. A carer must be aware of these changes.
The constraints to positive caring
This have been seems that geographic barriers that could be led with some individuals
about their health, social care and many other issues. While having such concepts this could led

keeping some important things and make sure for keeping their patient with right treatment. NHS
have taken many steps in working with service towards the patients and that could being

things and that could play their goals for which the patient can come to know about their services
(Candela and et.al., 2020). Moreover, this mobility walk problem with having many issue and
that could solve out with having some strategy and that might be important for them in working
with some better policies.
Financial barriers that could also cause at the treatment so for this problems as UK
government have taken the major steps. Furthermore, they have started the NHS for those people
who cannot afford their money for treatment and that might be important of them in keeping
some better things. As effective communication that could also take place while through which
this come to know about those things which could being important for those patients who are
taking treatment. In such kind of activities as author have also discuss about the communication
at the health care services in which the employee and many other staff easily make sure for their
working system and also effective place in which they can work. For having such kind of things
this could help their people for safely experience. Along with this also led them for working
some more better things and that could also essential for knowing about those things patients
should keep their communication system much better (Naylor, Hadenfeldt and Timmons, 2021).
For these reasons as the employee should know about their imperative things and make sure for
keeping the effective communication at their place. Health and social care the communication
should play their role in providing about the positive and beneficial things for their patients.
Health care services employee should know about their work and that could take care about the
