INTRODUCTION
In health and social care, there are different type of issues that are faced by worker.
Management make use of strategies that are helpful enough to overcome these problems (Brett,
Staniszewska and Suleman, 2014). With this respect, it includes issues like confidentiality, data
protection, difference in moral values and belief, importance of human relation, lack of
understanding roles and responsibilities, managing workload, etc. These are basic issues that are
faced by employees within health and social care. This report will help to cover few of the issues
that are faced by care providers at hospital.
Issues or dilemmas at Healthcare
Difference in moral values and belief
Within an organization, there are different type of employees who work together. They
make use of different languages and culture. There are conditions in which issues arise in
understanding the culture that are followed by others (Miller, Birch, Mauthner and Jessop, 2012).
All social workers have their own moral values and beliefs; however failure of such thing leads
to conflicts and issues. There are many reasons due to which conflicts arise among which one of
the reason is due to difference in culture. It increases the rate of conflicts and misunderstanding.
The main challenge occurs at the time when conflict arises in the health care workers is lack of
coordination and when they fail to uphold the values and beliefs. In the cultural issues it includes
language as the main reason for conflict. When the information conveyed is not understood by
others and who information is passed on, then it becomes issue. Moreover, similar type of issues
that arise is lack of proper communication (Cherry and Jacob, 2015). All the professionals needs
to have proper communication so that they will be able to help patients for their disease. With
there is proper interaction with employee and employer, then they get to solve the conflicts at
great extent and for this purpose, communication stands as a barrier. In this context, it also
equally important to have proper interaction or communication with patients as there are
situations in which the issues that is conveyed by patient is not proper understood by healthcare
professorial and they provide them wrong meditation. Moreover, to make sure that disease of
patient is taken care properly, then there should have effective interaction with nurses and
doctors or any other care providers (Bond, Ahmed and Hewitt-Taylor, 2013). Only with
combined efforts, proper cure can be provided but lack of communication make things more
worse.

Confidentiality
All there information that is provided by patient should be kept confidential. With this
respect, it is essential for a health care practitioner to maintain confidentiality and secrecy
(Grajales, Sheps and Eysenbach, 2014). There are cases in which patients do not want anyone to
know about the issues that they are facing. With this respect, one needs to make sure that the
information which is provided by them is not disclosed to anyone even to their fiends, family,
etc. they can only be conveyed if patient is willing to tell them. However, there are cases in
which in serious condition relatives or friends are conveyed about the issues that are faced by
patient. The confidentiality means that professional are not allowed to share the issues or
information that is provided by patient even to their subordinates (Baum, Legge and Jolley,
2013). With this respect, when a patient covey the information and do not when any other
professional to look after him/her, then it is the responsibility of that professional to make sure
that he/she provides them proper treatment and no other professional is conveyed regarding the
problem. There many negative impact over the mental and physical state of the patient. There are
people who do not want their issue to be disclosed to anyone and if it happens then it becomes
difficult for them to trust professionals. It is very important that that healthcare professionals
develop confidence and trust among mind of patients and this is possible when they have
effective communication and maintain confidentiality (Berman, Bowman and Van Wart, 2015).
When there is confidentiality and communication, then patients also share their deepest issues
related with their health. Similarly, issue arises when there is no proper confidentiality among
professional as they should have proper trust and confidence among themselves.
Healthcare organizations need to have proper system in order to maintain confidentiality.
Hence, for such purpose information should be directly recorded in the database. Further, no one
should be provided to access this system except to the person who is authorised. However, it has
been observed that social workers sometimes do not respect client’s right to privacy and
confidentiality and the data system is not properly maintained (Tolhurst, Leach and Bristow,
2012). Therefore, there are cases in which, it leads to disclosure of information. There are
different type of system that are used by hospitals in which personal information is saved. This
information is helpful to understand the issues or problems that are faced by patients. This record
includes information related with number of time patient has visited the hospital, his/her issue,
meditation given, etc. In this modern world, healthcare organizations make use of cloud

computing services and infrastructures in order to increase the process and storing of personal
data so that others can not access it or get lost (Pauly, Varcoe and Storch, 2012). There are
different set of laws that also enforced by government to make sure that they work for the
interest of people and so it includes Data Protection Act 1998. There are benefits to the
organization as it helps in developing healthy relation with patients. With the records
professional who used to provide them meditation and what all are the doses that were provided
them and identified and it becomes easy for other professional to provide them proper treatment.
There are issues that are faced by healthcare organization in order to maintain these records,
confidentiality and efforts to update them (Banks, Armstrong and Moore, 2013). People develop
their trust and they get to know the problem that are faced by them will be solved effectively and
efficiently.
Importance of human rights
In health and social care context, chief importance is also given towards developing
better relationships with the clients so that they can avail better health care amenities. Most
often, care practitioners do not consider the importance of human relations and as a result, they
show negative attitude towards the patients (Edelman, Mandle and Kudzma, 2013). This creates
more challenges in HSC. Professional are provided with their type of performance and care that
are provided by to patients. In case, they a care provider is given additional responsibility, then it
creates issues as others care providers may not like it. There are cases in which this type of
situation can give raise to conflicts. It is important professional to understand the condition and
support each other. Problem arise when care providers do not cooperate and perform their roles
and responsibility ineffectively. In this context, it is important that health environment among
professional where there is proper communication and interaction with the help of which people
will be able to get over their issues (Brett, Staniszewska and Suleman, 2014). All professionals
should be treated equally and they all need to be given equal chance to present their skills and
capabilities. Further, they should not be discriminated. There are faces in which there are
conflicts among care provide as they get better opportunities and power.

Lack of understanding roles and responsibilities
There are situations in which professional do not understand their part of role. This
affects the organization negativity (Miller, Birch, Mauthner and Jessop, 2012). There are many
reasons due to which this type s situation arise. Among which one of the major reason is due to
proper training. When professionals are not provided with training, then they do not understand
their job. In hospitals there are many equipments that has to be handled so that issues are
identified. However, when they do not understand how it has to be done, then issues arises and
patient do not get proper services. Moreover, there is another reason due to which issues arise
related with lack of understanding of roles and responsibilities. With this respect, it includes
reason like demotivation. This is the willingness and interest of people towards work (Bond,
Ahmed and Hewitt-Taylor, 2013). When professionals are not willing and they do not have the
interest to work then they can not provide proper services. As per the data, it has been found that
the rate of employees turnover is high at hospitality sector. With this respect, issues arises when
professional are demotivated and they do not put on their full efforts to support the organization.
There are different set of strategies that can be implemented by management to make sure that
professional understand their part of roles and responsibilities. Further, there are cases in which
management face issues even after they are provided with training. This is because, they do not
go for training with interest or willingness (Grajales, Sheps and Eysenbach, 2014). With this
respect, it is important that management make sure all the care provides have the interest and are
motivated so that they training which is provided to them is effective and they support the
organization to provide proper services to patients.
Managing workload
This another issues due to which professional face issues and they fail to put on their full
efforts towards the roles and responsibilities that are provided to them. It is important that they
know the different strategies with the help of which they can manage the work that is provided to
them (Baum, Legge and Jolley, 2013). There are different type of tasks that they have to perform
at same time and this increases stress and they fail to complete the tasks without getting affected
the quality. Work load increases confusion and they fail to complete the task on time. Further,
there are also conditions in which patients have to wait more longer so that their turn comes and

professional would look for the issue. In this context, one of the best strategy to over come this
issue is delegation. When a work is performed by a single person, then the time required to
perform same task by a group of people will be less (Berman, Bowman and Van Wart, 2015).
With this respect, it is important that professionals know the strategy to delegating their work so
that work load can be managed. Further, there are also cases n which professional take leave and
this increases and burden on others. It is important that they have proper strategies with the help-
of which they will be able to make sure that they do not take leaves and do manage their work.
These were few of the issues that are faced within hospitals. It is important that
management take proper steps through which these issues can be solved and they will be able to
provide better services to patients and professionals.
CONCLUSION
Further, issues are also generating in HSC because of improper supply of drugs. It has
been identified that drugs are not supplied as per the legal framework which not develops supply
and demand management issues. Illegal issues are also developing in the health care sector
wherein health care service providers are not considering legal and suitable framework while
delivering the care services. Further, among all these one of the major issues that are faced at
healthcare organizations is lack of proper communication. This creates different set of issues and
this highly affects the patient. Professionals fail to provide their patients with proper meditation
and it also makes the situation more serious or complex. Further, there are negative impact that
professionals face and that is due to lack of training and issues of demotivation. In order to
overcome this issues one of the best strategy that can be implemented is by making us
motivational theories like Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Theory X and Theory Y.
