Article 1
Safer to puff e-cigarettes can't shake their reputation as a menace
The article by Sabrina Tavernise focuses on the importance of the e- cigarettes over the
nicotine and tar based cigarettes and encourages taking up e-cigarettes instead of the real ones.
According to me it is necessary to impart the youths with education that makes them aware of
the ill effects smoking brings along rather than encouraging them to take up e- smoking.
Furthermore, it is necessary to look after those who are actually suffering from the diseases due
to over smoking. In such a critical situation, it would be really foolish to indulge the teens in to
something called vaping or e-cigarettes, when it is already known that e-cigarettes may also lead
to addiction.

Anti-aging trial using young blood stirs concerns
The following article focuses on the anti-ageing properties of the blood plasma.
According to the news, the company of Jesse Karmazin would charge $8000 from each
participant undergoing the anti-aging therapy of injecting young plasma. The ethical issue behind
this act is that, it is not appropriate if the participants of an experiment are charged anything,
when nobody knows about the outcome. It is also illegal for a company to play with the trust of
the public when there is no guarantee that the results would be fruitful.

F.D.A approves Muscular Dystrophy Drug that patients lobbied for

The article has it prime emphasis on the approval of drug that treats the condition of
muscular dystrophy in children. The clinical trial conducted for the approval of the drug was
very small involving only 12 boys. The faulty experiment demanded a clinical trial with bigger
population size. It is to be highlighted that the drug is useful to only 13 % of the Duchenne
patients, and it is not applicable to the patients having mutations in other genes. Therefore it is
unethical that the parents would allow their child, knowing that they would not get the drugs.

U.S charges journal publisher with misleading authors
This article focuses on OMICS, which is a publisher of thousands of journals. They are
accused of being fraudulent to the authors. The different ethical issues surrounding the
publishing house is that, they do not supply promised services in spite of charging huge amounts
from the author. Every person is supposed to maintain integrity and dignity. Fraudulent in such
cases can destroy the professional career of a person. There for it is expected to maintain a
precision between the Publishers and the authors.
