AI Summary
This report details the development of a healthcare information system (HIS) to address challenges faced by the healthcare industry. It begins with an executive summary and table of contents, followed by an introduction that highlights the need for improved data management to combat medical errors, information overload, and slow knowledge diffusion. The project aims to develop a HIS to collect, store, and manage patient data, support hospital operations, and inform healthcare policies. The report outlines the project's goals, objectives (addressing business challenges such as cybersecurity and patient experience), and the projectized organizational structure chosen for effective control. Key customers (hospitals and nursing homes) and stakeholders (project manager, designer, developer, IT team, etc.) are identified, with their roles and impacts. A detailed timeline spanning nine months is presented, including tasks such as analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The report concludes by emphasizing the importance of the HIS in improving patient care and operational efficiency, referencing several academic sources. The report is a valuable resource for understanding the complexities and benefits of implementing HIS within healthcare settings.

Executive Summary
The healthcare information system is a system that is designed in order to manage the data of
healthcare. This consists of the systems that collect, store, manager and transmit the
electronic medical record of a patient, operational management of the hospital or the
decisions those are supporting the healthcare policies. The report deals with the development
of the healthcare information system in order to address the issues those are faced by the
healthcare industries.

Introduction
An information system is referred as the software that assists to organize and evaluate
data. Therefore, the main objective of an information system is to turn the raw data into
useful information that can be utilised for the making of decisions in a company. The report
deals with the information system in the healthcare industry.
There are varied categories of challenges those are faced in the industry of healthcare
such as the medical errors, explosion of the information of medical, slow diffusion of
knowledge of medical and managing the data and the cost and solving these challenges is a
huge source of concern for the development and the growth of the industry of healthcare.
The notable aim of this project is to develop and deliver a health information system
that can address the above issues in the industries of healthcare from the perspective of
project manager.
Project Goals
There are various challenges in the healthcare industries those are faced daily. These
challenges include burden of preventable medical errors, explosion of medical information,
the slow diffusion of medical information and good care costs less1. The main aim of this
project is to develop and deliver a new Healthcare Information System that can address the
challenges of the healthcare industries. A healthcare information system refers to a type of
system those are designed in order to manage the data of healthcare. This consists of the
systems that collect, store, manage and transfer an electronic medical record of a patient,
operational management of a hospital or a system that is supporting the policy decisions of

healthcare. The health information system will help to address the challenges of the
healthcare industries2.
The next goal of the project is to complete the project within nine months so that the
healthcare industries can implement the healthcare information systems and solve the issues
of the organizations.
Project Objectives
The healthcare industries face several challenges daily and they need to minimize the
challenges so that they operate properly and provide excellent services to the patients3. The
objectives of the project are as follows:
To address the business challenges those are faced in the healthcare industries. The
business challenges include cybersecurity, payment and invoicing processing,
Transparency of prices, experience of patients, effective model of payments and Big data.
The second objective is to develop a new healthcare information system for the
development and the growth of the industries of healthcare. The new information system
will help to address the problems those are faced by the healthcare industries.
Project Structure
The structure of the project that will be considered in this project is the projectized
organization structure. A projectized structure of organization is set up or designed in a way

that the manager of the project is on the top of the hierarchy and he has the full power while
taking any decisions those are involved in the project4. The members of the team directly
report to the manager of the project and all the tasks of the project are concentrated in the
direction of the project. The main reason behind choosing this structure is that it is very much
useful on order to control and administer each stage of the project in an organized manner.
The sequence of activities of this project such as planning, designing, development and
testing will be controlled and administered using the structure of the project.
Key Customers
The development of the healthcare information system will be helpful for the
customers as well as the team of operations if the healthcare company. Reducing the medical
errors is a huge source of concern for the consumers of the healthcare industries and
administering the medical information is one of the most important challenges that are faced
by the IT team of the industries of healthcare. The key customers are mainly the hospitals and
the private nursing homes that can implement the healthcare information systems in its
premises so that they can provide excellent services to the patients.
Stakeholders of the Project
There are various stakeholders of the project that is developing the healthcare
information system5. The stakeholders of the project include manager of the project, designer
