the market offerings are not solely driven by profits but through the enforcement of social
and ethical values that can benefit the society (Gulati, 2017). According to Schrempf-Stirling
and Palazzo (2016), socially responsible marketing has several advantages for a company that
can help it to prosper. Tax cuts and rebates are offered by governments to incentivize the
involvements of companies in CSR programs thereby offering financial advantage to the
companies (Gulati, 2017). Moreover, CSR activities can also foster trust from the regulatory
authorities and government and therefore provide the organization with fewer obstacles in its
operations which can in turn drive the profits of the company (Visser et al., 2017). Pulker et
al. (2018) also pointed out that these programs can help to improve the brand image of the
company and therefore help to attract more customers and investors and therefore support
company’s profitability.
