Blog 1: For the achievement of positive health outcomes among patients a healthcare
organization must comply to the changing patient needs which is where, implementation of
Management of Change (MoC) is of utmost importance. The advantages of an MoC are
multifaceted resulting in overall achievement of patient satisfaction1. In criticism, MoC may
negatively affect organizational functioning due to resistance to change and lack of consideration
of personalized needs of the workforce2. Hence, adopting a reflective approach, involving taking
workforce’s opinions on change and hence, incorporation of human resource management will
aid in prevention of these negative outcomes of MoC3.
Blog 2: Despite being two seemingly different concepts, leadership and management are
interrelated with communication principles bridging the gap. A manager must not only lead but
also consider the needs and competencies of fellows employees for the collective fulfillment of
organizational objectives4. For effective leadership, managers are often required to exert
significant authority, especially in situations of worker non-compliance to organizational
policies5. In criticism, authority may be met with dissatisfaction among workers6. However, the
same can be mitigated using transactional model of leadership where manager actively
