incorporated at the end of this reflective essay. These are necessary to equip the author in the

I had a very conducive environment as a health care assistant for a duration of six years
which stimulated my self-drive and passion to work as a nurse to serve patients in a
multicultural team. Moreover, seeing patients recovering after being attendant to by
professionals further motivated me to contribute as a nurse in health services provision
(Dipnarine et al., 2013). However, I have been facing some challenges on my way to realize my
dream as a nurse since I had to develop a balance between studies, family and work. During my
student days, I worked so hard to develop key life and career skills such as being very sensitive
to time, rules, taking responsibilities and becoming a self-driven independent learner. It was also
very vital for me to develop skills meeting psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical needs
of the patient which will assist greatly in their recovery. This journal assisted me to improve my
competence in the field through adequate skills in the market to serve patients as it has always
been my dream (Hanson et al., 2017 p.42). The management journal under my program was set
upon making a simple diary for my daily accounts. The steps followed in this were styles made
by simple entries into the diary with which had a proper date formats, the matter of teamwork
with direct observations, personal thoughts and in togetherness from my place of work.
Every point visited made a part of my entry during the course of the semester and
therefore proved viable for the analytical work to emphasize on the additional information on
research and primary entries edited indicated events description of personal thoughts and
feelings. The primary goal of every revisit attempted to make logic of the entire situation, seek to
find what had been done and even be done in a better way in upcoming practice (Husebø et al.,

teamwork the department displayed, but this was not to be with the current situation, recently I
had so much reflection on sequence of instances of problems highlighted at the workplace this
was triggered with changes made on the personnel , it beats my logic of how fast the situations
exchanged hands and this coming immediately after the workshop held in the last two days.

The challenge caused has tremendously been affected by the action taken to change the
personnel, just like a new management comes with new programs and methods, so did it
happened, in the last eighteen months, the new personnel has come with new models, people
have therefore moved on with new improvements, the process of integrating another group of
new professionals comes with so much challenge of cope up and fondness, the people needs time
to learn new tricks and develop bit by bit, in so doing time and production becomes low. All this
have given me great challenges but by allowing freedom between them have increased the
relationship level, encouraging each and every one to believe in his/herself, take up their
individual roles with little follow up (Shorten and Ruppel, 2017 p.185). Working together closely
would make them discover their potentials and realize their weakness to improve for the better.
Being a senior member of the profession, I feel much responsibility given and managed by me so
there is much need to display high level of leadership qualities.

others find it a daily routine, I thought I had this element in me but I was wrong when I found out
that I need to find out the characteristics of the team that I desire and the results I need to
produce before embarking on the means. With a priority list I have, I need to define each in their
own prospective, to list each according to their agency, solve those that need immediate attention
and leave those that are still to come. By solving first things first I improve on the quality of
output in the interdisciplinary teamwork in the healthcare (Saunders et al., 2016 p.393). The

Surprisingly, therapists at the start of this week came to my path for aid on advice.
Instead of giving an answer directly to their query, I decided to redirect them back to a
professional therapist on their issue of their team on their recent discussions on employing the
new structure. The second therapist made an effort to assess the patient and subsequently
informed the initial therapist that the discussion was exactly based patients care without any
feedback on its importance (Lee et al., 2014). The manner of the occurrence of the above brought
a lot of shame to the initial therapist and since I had not monitored the prevailing conditions very
keenly, the responsibility on the officers operating as a team befell me emotionally. I exchanged
ideas with the second therapist on the matter during an opportunity afterwards (Kelly et al.,
2017). I directed the blame on them for wasting a valuable chance where the therapist would
have learnt a lot as possible. It resulted from their reaction without questioning on the clinical
judgments made. Fortunately, it unrevealed itself after all.

his colleagues in the team in matters entailing functioning of their committee, poor unclear
communication and poor functioning of the body. It dawned on me that the second therapist had
decided to share his view but I had interrupted to reveal the impending crisis of the relationship
as a result of confusion. This case study was eventually completed and handed over to determine
the current level of teamwork such as; proper decision making and inter-professional education

incorporated immediately. In my opinion, support should also be provided to the group to
increase the chances of having deliberate actin which is a strong tool to strengthen the teamwork.
The officers involved should share responsibility and focus together in problem solving
processes to uphold high quality services at the healthcare organizations. Petri (2010) argues that
incorporating education between different professionals should create a free atmosphere founded
writing and reading are my key learning styles in which I understood most in my learning
process (Saunders et al., 2016). During the time of my learning, I could have a reflection on my

can use to communicate their healthcare requirements. The presence of language barriers due to
ethnic background can greatly deteriorate communication between the patients and nurses.
Unfortunately this can cause misunderstanding if nurses fail to pay close attention to patients’
preferences and cultural background (Bender et al., 2013). In the path of my profession as a
nurse, I am aware of the essentiality of communication and this brings the reason I should perfect
my skills which accommodates patients cultural background. Upon the provision of a conducive
environment to an extent that patients express their ideas on their condition, nurses will be able
to realize the intensity of the disease and the level of the patients‘recovery condition. It’s of

My step to improve inter-professional collaboration which I formally took during the
staff meeting held by clinical staff, I began by small teams which I set up just within the
department; every team was a mixture of at least a member from all the disciplines represented
equally (Schulz et al., 2013). They were required to set amongst themselves a work program
which included having a regular meeting of at least twice a week, come up with a well-drawn
calendar where they would work together with the health care in various groups created and after
which they report to them (Szutenbach et al., 2013). Spending time with patients and working
together proved to be a good strategy in service delivery and improving interpersonal behavior.
The need for involvement of staff in education provision service was also addressed with a lot of
concern (Volponi, 2014 p.051201).

Patients in current need for rehabilitation as fountained on admitting diagnosis as well as relative
case load as per therapist are allowed to see the therapist. It’s usually very challenging to determine
the correct balance based on patients’ load and variety. Furthermore, the greatest unusual challenge

enable me adhere to NMC’s code of conduct and be competent nurse among the registered in United
Kingdom. To finalize my personal and professional development, provided each day I learn a
single mistake I usually make during my professional duties, I will make a great development within
a months’ time making my future in the career of health care management very bright. I do call upon
all my colleagues we work together in unity through having exemplary interpersonal skills until all
the health organizations provide perfect services to their clients.
