INTRODUCTION
Term of social and health care is relate with the services offer by different social and
health care providers. This refer to the whole provision of health care industry. Basically this
provide different of health services and treatment to individuals for any kind of injury and
disease. Silver wood home care which provide and offer different kind of services to its patients
is taken under this report for study. Different organization structure and impact of culture on
organization structure is all mention in this report.
TASK 1
1) Type of Silverwood’s organisational structure
Silver wood health care is a private care homes and it provides the care facilities to the
diseased and also unhealthy people. In this care home, there are almost 80 rooms and it also
provides all facilities to the people such as respite care, physiotherapy, convalescent etc. Mainly
it provides its services to the unhealthy people and also take care of them. The vision of this care
home is to give the kindest care to people through hiring the specialist. It provides 15 residents
and in this the people are lived whose age is is between the 72- 98 years old. In the staff
members of this organisation includes the registered nurses, care assistants, care coordinator,
home care workers, respite workers, team leaders and the domiciliary workers. All are working
together and also give their full contribution in take care the health of the diseased and the needy
people (Alemdar and Ersoy, 2010). An organisational structure refers to a hierarchy in a
company where the job of every person, their roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. The
structure or can say framework of every business firm is varied from each other (McHugh and et.
al., 2011). In an organisational structure of Silver wood care home is also different from the
structure of other care homes. The good and proper structure of an organisation helps in doing
them business related activities and tasks of staff members in a systematic manner. The manager
of Silver wood care homes is Jacob. In context to this, the organisational structure of this care
home given below as above:

Care Coordinator- Its main role is to monitoring and also controlling all the activities in
the home care. The manager of this company is also the care coordinator. The care coordination
plays an important role in providing all the facilities of health care and also services and this
person also involve ion the take care of persons or can say patient. The main role is to supervisor
the interdisciplinary the take care through bring the various care specialist together (Berkman,
Davis and McCormack, 2010). It helps the take care about the health of patients which are
suffered from the different problems and the diseases. It is the responsibility of this person is to
monitoring and also measure the care of patients deliver. In the Silver wood Care homes, the care
coordinator is very responsible and also do their work in a proper manner. It is responsible
towards the health of all patients who are the part of this care home. Its main responsibilities are:
To assign the care workers who have good capabilities and the skills to provide the best
and satisfactory quality of services.
To arrange the rotation of the care workers and also reduce the changes in services.
On the other hand, on second level there are three main sectors and these are home care,
respite and the Live in care. The work and the responsibilities of these departments are different.
Home care- It provides its facilities on the home (Istepanian, Laxminarayan, Pattichis,

2014). The home care department appoints the various and also health care professionals, who
are expert in their fields. These professionals give the treatment related to the medical and also
give the daily or regular assistance to unhealthy people at their homes. The nurses of home care
gives the personal as well as medical care to the people who are disabled and also suffering from
any kind of disease. Mostly the home care of the Silver wood care homes are work for the old
people who cannot able to go here from there. The people who are involved in the health care are
also monitored the health of people or its patients (Kaplan and et. al., 2010).
Respite Care- It is the another department, in this many care workers are working. The
workers of respite care are much trained and also they take care the health of mental and physical
people. They handle day to day tasks of care house. It can be provided with the help of visiting

and also to older citizens. These people are mostly suffered from the illness and the any kind of

The all these 3 kinds of departments and their care workers are working together and

Graham, 2011).
Organisational culture- It refers to the beliefs, customs, shared values and also rituals
under which an organisation has to work. It is necessary that at workplace, the culture should be

values and the philosophy that business organisation needs to hold together. If the culture at
workplace is not good then it can impact on the performance of business and its productivity. In
context to organisational culture , there are some effective points are included:
It is a way a company conducts the business related activities, treat or deal with staff
members and customers.
Give freedom to staff members in the process of decision making, introducing new ideas
etc.
On the opposite of it, under decentralised organisation structure power of decision
making is delegated to employees working at lower and middle level to increase the
implementation of firm's activities and satisfaction among them. Organisation culture defines as
that specific set of norms and values shared among employees which they use to while interact
with each other. Culture of an enterprise is a wide concept and is not easy to explain but simply it
is knows as personality of company. Culture of enterprise widely affect by the structure adopt by
company. To effective achieve end results and set goals it is essential for Silver hood care homes
to use a formal structure (Zhang and Liu, 2010). This help managers to distribute tasks among
different employees to ensure that two employees are not doing work on same project and firm
can produce effective output.

which give shape to attitudes, perception and behaviours of individuals. This ensure minimum
number of constraints when employees work together to achieve business objectives. Culture of
