The administrative module provides system maintenance privileges, and the management module approves payments. The system aims to reduce mortality rates by enhancing service delivery. Stakeholders include doctors, patients, administrators, and managers, each with defined roles. 1. What is your proposed system? 1-2 paragraphs
Proposed project is to design a system to improve the service delivery in hospitals. The name of
the project is Health Care Management System (HCMS). The program will help the users to
ensure that the delivery of service to the patient in hospitals will have to improve. This will
ensure that the service delivery will be more accurate and faster. In this proposal, the system will
be able to keep track of all the processes which are taking place within the hospital. The patient
have to be registered as soon as they enter into the hospital. Also, the patients are checked and
their status are taken to the doctor so that the doctor can assigned the patient the date that he or
she will get discharged. The system will be able to show all the details including the ward you
are located in the hospital.
Details of the ward and the room number of where the patient is located will be helpful in that
when a visitor visited you in hospital, the visitor will be able to locate the patient easily without
wasting time. The proposed system is an automated system such that a set date that the patient
gets discharged will alert the guardian and the doctor by sending a message signal to the two
people at once. The system will also be able to indicate the expenditure that the patient has
incurred for treatment and any other consultation fee. 2
2. What parts does your system have? 1-2 paragraphs, with a picture
The proposed system will be comprising of the four modules which includes; the doctor’s,
patient’s, administrative and management. In this regard, the patient has to be enrolled into the
system. After the patient has been enrolled in the system, he or she will be able to access all the
details. The patient can communicate with the doctor through the system updating the status.
Also the patient can view the discharge date that has been allocated by the doctor. However, the

system will be able to show all the cost that has been incurred for treatment at the hospital. The
doctor on the other hand will have to get registered in the system. The doctor will be able to
monitor the patient assigned to him/ her by checking each patient’s status through the portal. The
patient can update its status through taking clear images or writing comments over the portal.
These messages will only be viewed by the doctor.
Also, another very important part of the system is the admin module. This is the backbone of the
whole system. This is because it offers all the privileges for the maintenance of the proposed
system by the admin. The admin in this case is the only person to modify any process done
mistakenly within the proposed system. The image shown in the picture below shows the process
flow of the proposed system and how it works.

3. What are your system boundaries, and what is not included in your system; draw a
picture?
The scope of the proposed system is to ensure that the functional process in a hospital is made
easy and possible so that the users can have humble time to interact with the new system. The
new system will help to reduce the mortality rate by enhancing a faster way of delivering
services in hospitals. In this regard the users of the system will include the doctors, patients and
the nurses. The work of the nurses are to check the location of the patients so that they may
attend them whenever they wish to attend. The work of the doctor is to assess the patient and
provide the necessary treatment and procedures which the patient may be needed to do. The
patient on the other hand is to update the status on how they feel. This will make the work of the
doctor to be as easy as possible.
System scope
The system does not require other details such as the information about the guardian because all
the information regarding the Patient are enough and they can be used to track all the details
needed by the doctor
Also this system does not have to involve the inventories owned by the hospital as it is not a
requirement in this system. The system only need to show the list of medicines available so that
during the doctor prescription will be used as a prescription to the patient.

4. What are the relationships among system components; draw a picture?
The system components consist of four related modules. In this case each mutual is important to
the other module in one way or another. For example the admin is the only person who can
modify all the transactions within the system. The other modules like the doctor module and the
patient module in the HCMS mutual benefit one another. This is because the updates provided by
the patient will have to be viewed by the doctor for checking the patient status.
Management will have to check and approve the payment status from the patient that is the client
side. Remember payment are supposed to be made online and it will be verified first before
attending the patient. This will be verified upon the approval from the management module.

5. Who are the stakeholders of your system? Provide a list
The proposed system is composed of the stakeholders of different nature. In this case the
stakeholders include the following;
1. Doctor
2. Patient
3. Admin
4. Manager
Each of the stakeholder stated above has its role in the proposed system. The roles assigned to
each stakeholder is different from one another.
6. Describe your system as a concept map

The system concept map is to ensure that the patients in hospital are attended in time. Unlike
when transactions are being carried out manually in various hospitals, it usually consumes a lot
of time leading to poor service delivery. Also patients are the people who need immediate
attention from the doctors which may save lives of so many people who could have perished
while cueing in the line.

7. How might your system be part of a broader systems solution within health care
system?
The proposed system maybe gain fame among the best healthcare systems solutions in the
current world. This is because the proposed system is comprising of the unique features which
doesn’t exist in other systems. As stated in the first explanation of this proposal, this is a unified

system which works in a unique way. The main work of the proposed system is to ensure that the
health care processes are improved so that there could be no chances of losing lives through the
delay in the treatment of patients. 1
By using the system, the data clerk admin enters the patient details into the system and forward
the message to the doctor assigned and he will be attended within the shortest time possible
