1NURSING ASSIGNMENT
The American healthcare system has been reformed and developed on the basis of the
Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act 2010 so that while providing effective care and
quality service to the patients, these acts and regulations could be complied with
(Nursingworld.org, 2019). In this aspect, the reformed and developed healthcare delivery
model, accountable care organization should be discussed so that people could understand the
importance and effectiveness of it.
As mentioned by Nursingworld.org (2019), the Accountable Care Organization or
ACOs are a collaborative venture including the healthcare professional, care delivery model,
a hospital and wide array of healthcare professionals (interdisciplinary team) so that patients
in need could be provided with effective care. This new care delivery system is effective for
service users as with developing the provision of providing effective and quality care, the
delivery system has provided its service users with affordable care with inclusion of
Medicare (Nursingworld.org, 2019). Hence, inclusion of Medicare and affordable care would
help the service users to achieve their healthcare related rights, which would eventually make
the care achievable and affordable (Liu & Wu, 2016). The second benefit that the care
professionals could provide to its patients would be including multidisciplinary team so that
they could receive effective and quality care. With the inclusion of multidisciplinary team the
nursing professional would be able to communicate with other staff for the complication of
the patients and hence, they would be able to form a holistic and quality care process for their
every patient (Nursingworld.org, 2019).
With implementation of multidisciplinary team, the patient would be able to receive.
The first positive outcome would be developing trust and belief among the health
professional and patient (Liu & Wu, 2016). With effective trust and belief, the patient would
be able to receive satisfactory and quality care for their illness. The second positive outcome
of this care delivery model would be developing clinical governance structure,

implementation of which would eventually reduce the healthcare errors. Further, inclusion of
multidisciplinary care in the ACO would help to enforce the communication among the
nursing professional and the patient and it will also increase the interaction of the patient or
nursing professional with the inter-professional team, involved in the care (Nursingworld.org,
2019). Hence, these are the advantageous aspects which should be included in the care
process so that so that with implementation of care delivery model the care professional and
the patient could develop a team to obtain positive outcome for the patient.
