1RESPONSE TO HEALTHCARE QUESTION
Should healthcare be a national plan where everyone has the same options for insurance
coverage and health care delivery or should the states have authority over its citizen’s
options for coverage and care?
Healthcare is the basic necessity of the people in a country and therefore, it should be the part of
national healthcare program. Health insurance and care coverage are still not available to the
people who are economically backward. They are compelled to spend huge amount of money in
health care services if they fall seriously ill. Most of the time, the treatments of such patients is
not completed because of the lack of money. Hence, it is the responsibility of the state to provide
quality healthcare and help these section of the society. Health care should be available to all
patients irrespective of their social status. Nationalization of the healthcare would help many
people to get the quality service which some of them lack because of the lack of insurances. The
insurance amount for the healthcare of people can be paid from the taxes and public insurances.
If the healthcare services are paid by the government, the overall expanses would be reduced in
private and public hospitals. Other than that, government gets the scope of having the account of
all private and public health care institutions. These institutions will be bound to deliver patient
care that is up to the mark and their profit margins will not be affected. Every having the same
option in the healthcare is more logical is all aspects.
