My competencies as a leader
As an operational manager. I am supposed to manage as well as develop the operational logistics
plan within the organizational framework guidelines as well as ensure that effective
communication across 3 business based departments that includes outsourcing, information
gathering and audit reporting. Through my self-assessment I have found that I have a strong
ability to make changes. While performing this role I have experienced a good number of
challenges as a leader that helped me to understand my strengths as well as weaknesses. I have
dealt with providing as well as receiving feedback. However, the feedback earned by me helped
me to evaluate my competencies as a leader. Have always asked for feedback as well as
suggestions to improve the same. However, the fact that feedback often makes me feel anxious
cannot be denied. I was able to present simple and viable solutions to improve the
processes. Hence it can be said that as per my belief, problem solving can be considered as one
of my greatest strengths. Another strength of mine is to find effective as well as efficient ways to
complete a task within a limited deadline. This way, time is reduced and we can complete the
tasks before the deadline. I always try to find new ways for keeping myself motivated and I'm
always eager to learn new things, to find new ways of doing a job differently. One of the chief
advantages of keeping one self-motivated is that the optimistic feeling can also be induced in to
the people who are working with a motivated individual. According to researchers, a leader
should always keep himself or herself motivated so that it becomes easier for him or her to
motivate his or her followers to achieve the shared goal. I delegate tasks well, allowing
individuals to develop their own position in the organization. However, I have found that the
major limitation in my leadership style is lack of understanding of IT or informational
technologies usage especially those are associated with business related project planning and
