INTRODUCTION
Personal Statement refers to a statement which helps a person in reflecting upon the own
experience of the past (Campbell and et.al., 2016). Thus in this way it can be said that this
particular statement can be highly helpful in ensuring that a person is able to provide a detailed
reflection in the right manner without facing problems and issues. In this statement, there will be
detailed focus on the experience in healthcare effectively and efficiently.
MAIN BODY
Scenario- I am a healthcare worker who has a wide range of experience in working in the
healthcare settings. Therefore I am sharing my experience which will allow me to ensure that I
am able to attain the different types of goals and objectives without problems and issues.
I have worked in different healthcare organizations which have provided me a detailed
experience of ensuring that I am able to take better care of the patients wherever I work (Li and
Deng, 2019).
In My Education, I have done the following-
I have gained Uganda Certificate of Education i.e. UCE in Division 1.I did it from Mende
Kalema Memorial Secondary School. I studied subjects like Maths, English, Physics, Biology,
Geography etc. This gave me a detailed knowledge of being able to deal in a proper manner in
the healthcare sector and treat various types of patients.
I have also studied Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education i.e. UACE. My subjects
here were General Paper, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology etc. Thus this gave me
effective knowledge of dealing in a proper way with different types of patients in a proper
manner without problems and issues.
My detailed experience of working in different healthcare organizations is given as
follows-
From 2010 to 2013 I worked in Shaw Health Care where I worked with learning
disability adults, mental health, elderly with dementia etc. Thus in this way I was able to make
sure that I attained relevant experience of working in a proper manner to deal with different types
of patients without facing problems and issues which helped me a lot in gaining a wide range of
experience to be used in the future (Datta, 2020).

While working here Initially I faced a lot of problems and issues. This was so because I
was not able to deal with the patients and their problems and issues. Therefore I had to make sure
that I was able to raise the overall level of efficiency and effectiveness in the right manner.
I used to take mental health of the patients very lightly earlier on. This was so because I
used to think that there is no need to look upon the mental health and it is not a very serious
issue. But by working in Shaw Health Care I understood the particular importance which is
present with taking mental health of the patients seriously. This is so because I dealt a lot with
the people facing learning disability. I understood the different types of problems and issues
which are faced by them and therefore it is important to provide them with the right platform in a
proper manner which will help a lot in ensuring that the short-term, medium-term and long-term
goals and objectives can be attained (Williams, 2020).
Also I dealt a lot with the patients facing mental health issues. Therefore In this manner I
understood the different types of needs and requirements which these patients have. I understood
the way in which different types of techniques and methods can be applied in an appropriate
manner to deal with these patients and the health issues which they are facing. I assessed the
medicines which I need to give to them and the actions which I can take in case of an emergency
need or requirement in a proper manner.
After leaving Shaw Health Care I have started working in Ellernemede Eating Disorder. I
have started working here from the year 2013. Here I am dealing with the patients suffering from
Eating disorder, Anorexia, Bulimic, Autistic, Asperger Patients etc. This has helped me in
ensuring that I understand the wide range of problems and issues so that I can efficiently and
effectively solve them. Thus I am now able to assess the needs and requirements of these patients
and address them properly.
Also I am working with Solid Recruitment Ltd. From the year 2018. Here I deal with the
patients who have a wide range of eating disorders. I work in different hospitals and provide my
services there as an Healthcare worker which ensures that I am able to deal with the patients in
the right manner without facing problems and issues. I have learnt to deal with the patients who
are facing CAHMS, learning disability, patients with dementia, drug and alcohol addictions,
OCD working in priory hospital in rehabilitation centre. Therefore I was able to make sure that I
try and understand the wide range of needs and requirements of these patients properly which
will help me in solving their problems and issues.

As a Healthcare worker I provide my services properly to the different people. Thus I
have experienced that working in this profession throws different types of challenges for a
particular person which have to be faced and the desired actions have to be taken so that these
problems and challenges can be addressed.
It was my dream since my childhood to pursue a career in nursing. This is so because I
like to take care of the different types of people by properly understanding their needs and
requirements. Therefore it has been a very good learning experience for me to be able to assess
the importance of making a career in nursing effectively and efficiently and providing proper
care services according to the needs and requirements of the people.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that Personal Statement refers to a statement
which helps a person in giving a thorough description of the past experience by making the use
of reflection. Thus in this way detailed information can also be provided to another person which
can thereby help them a lot to be able to take proper actions effectively and efficiently.
