Conservative and liberals
Affordable care act is the one of the main act of the USA that comes in the existence when
president Barack Obama sign it. This act to some extent is the modified version of the all-
inclusive coverage that majority of the US presidents intend to bring at their time. As per this
rule, each and every citizen of the US need to apply for insurance coverage and in case of failure
heavy charge will be imposed on them after giving exemption to some groups of the people
(Prokop., 2017). This law state that those business firms who employed people more then 200
need to provide health insurance coverage to their employees. Since this act prepared and
implemented Republicans that were in opposition at that time oppose this act strongly. Proposal
for both Republicans and Democrats is given below.
Conservative party (Republicans)
Party platform principles
Republic party is one of the US oldest party which believed in liberalism but with
passage of time it adopts conservative thinking. Main principles of the Republicans are given
below.
Republic party believed that as much as possible less number of tax must be imposed on
the public (Hutchens, Hmielowski and Beam, 2015).
There must be free market capitalization and restrictions on immigration.
Spending on military must be high restrictions must be on labour unions.
Ways in which program advances party agenda
Republicans like Democrats also believed that health coverage must be provided to the
people that are citizen of the USA. Thus, program advances party agenda but it is not agreeing
with the Obamacare policies. As in this policy heavy expenditure is made by the Government by
charging multiple taxes on hospitals and other institutions. Such kind of thing is against
Republicans principle. Conservatives are right at their own place as such kind of things lead to
low profit in business and impede of company growth which affect economy. However,
Conservatives are right but they must for three to five years for removing tax from people
because economy is not in good condition and decrease in Government spend means more cash
outflow from pocket which lead to decline in saving rate and economy may observe slow down.

Conservative party (Democrats)
Party platform principles
This party believed on liberalism and progressivism.
Protecting social program and labour union.
Rights and racial equality.
Promoting workplace safety.
Ways in which program advances party agenda
In case economic condition of the people is not good Government must spend more to
support them which Barack Obama do (Winkelman and et.al., 2015). However, such kind of
thing increase burden on Government. Hence, when economy recovered from recession
Government must cut expenditure as people will be able to save more even after making
expenditure.
Program data related to target population outcomes
8 million take insurance policy from the private insurance companies.
3 million young adults gain coverage (Face sheet: Affordable care act by the numbers., 2014).
5 million people enrolled in plan that meet ACA standard
