Introduction
Nurses who work in clinical settings often face multiple challenges as well as
complexities. The capstone and practicum course has helped me in developing mu knowledge
in-depth apart from the theoretical approach. I have also been able to understand and
maintain the ability to provide my role in delivering quality care within the clinical settings.
New practice approaches
With the help of the capstone and practicum course, I have developed my skills efficiently as
well as effectively. I have observed that theoretical knowledge in providing quality care is not
sufficient. Efficient knowledge of practice is very much crucial. It has been observed that
evidence-based practice is limited and the adoption of such an approach will result in high
quality of care (Patelarou et al., 2017). The new approach will enhance me in gaining and
keep me updated with the latest clinical practices. I also understood the importance of
reducing the pain area of patients. For delivering high quality of care, one needs to have a
relevant plan for assisting patients with the help of technical along with own experience
knowledge.
Intra-professional collaboration
Healthcare system can deliver efficiently with the extensive collaboration of multiple
disciplinary healthcare professional. It has been found that nursing students have enhanced
their efficiency level with the help of intra-professional collaboration (Kirkpatrick et al.
2018). Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary had increased my skills; I have learned to
make a critical decision with the help of my senior mentors. This learning experience is one
of the most interesting, as well as it created an ability to resolve the critical health problem.
While supporting healthy activities, I have received wider provisions from many other

healthcare professionals. I have understood that to deliver quality care in complex situations,
intra-professional collaboration is very much crucial.
Health care delivery
Health care delivery and clinical systems play an important role in delivering quality care to
patients. In the hospital, nurses act as a frontline in delivering efficient quality care (Bender
et al. 2019). Many patients need assistance in various aspect to access health care in clinical
settings and thus, I have received many opportunities in accessing multiple health care
services to the patients.
Ethical considerations in health care
In healthcare settings, ethical consideration can often arise in multiple areas. Nurses need to
identify the as well as act on the professional moral to maintain the ethical nature of the
healthcare settings (Peter, 2018). I understood the importance of ethical values in healthcare
settings. I always seek out to my senior mentor to make any decision that needs ethical
consideration. This consideration has helped me in upholding the importance of an ethical
environment. The objectives, as well as preference of patients, need to be addressed in
considering the ethical values for delivering the quality of care.
Population health concerns
The nurses work with multiple disciplinary individuals and other groups to ensure efficient
quality care as well as the treatment. The health system concern to provide effective delivery
of quality care with a decrease in the cost. I have played an important role in providing
frontline care to patients. I have learned insight into the identification of issues that affect
negatively affecting the wellbeing of the population.

The role of technology in improving health care outcomes
The health technology is increasing at a high level that helps in diagnosis as well as in the
treatment. The modern technology implemented in the clinical settings has improved in the
efficacy of nursing functioning. The patient recorded system has improved due to the
advancement in technology implementation (Jensen et al., 2015). The patient monitoring has
become accessible as well as affordable due to the advanced technology implemented in the
clinical settings. The technology has also improved the advancement in communication with
the patient. There may be a complex situation in adopting the advancement in technology;
however, with hands-on training, the efficacy of the handling the technology will enhance.
Health policy
Health policy is very much crucial in delivering the quality of care. The healthcare
professionals including nurses, need to practice the policy within the healthcare settings.
Health policy is generally a set of guidelines that I have to follow during the procedure of any
treatment. The multiple steps of washing hand are very basic policy. However, I have to
follow every step during the procedure of any procedures of the treatment. The health policy
in the overall operation of a hospital or clinical settings are mainly limited under government
(Allsop,2018).
Leadership and economic models
The leadership, as well as economic models, are important for the nursing profession to
provide efficient health care delivery. Leadership model helps in understanding the role as
well as the responsibility in the procedure of delivering the care. The leadership model helps
in managing the nurses and guiding with their responsibility (Huber, 2017). Apart from
theoretical knowledge, I have understood that this model helps in achieving the goals in

delivering my role. It also helps in providing additional skills as well as ability to work in
groups along with the system of care.
Health disparities
Health disparities generally occur due to the inequalities among the people for accessing
health care. The inequalities can be in terms of racism or any low-level income of the
individual. The nurse has to deliver the care without any bias and make every patient feels
comfortable while delivering the care. It has been observed that richer people are more likely
to receive accessible health resources in healthcare settings (Zhang et al., 2017). The nursing
professional should focus on altering the access, equity as well as protection of health. This
scenario was limited for me and I could not deliver my role efficiently.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that I have learned my responsibility
in different aspects of the clinical settings. I have learned many strengths in addressing health
care deliveries. Thus, it is important for me to carry all the learning aspects to implement in
the future practice.
