Placement experience in every individual life is unforgettable through which many new
challenges and opportunity of learning can face by them. According to my placement experience
in the Excelcare homecare, it was really amazing for me through which I have learnt many new
things and skill of work in the home care organisation. While at the time of placement in the
Excelcare homecare, may major challenge is related to other participants who have equal
qualification and knowledge in this same field. There was lots of candidates who interested in
this field and position of health care expert in the Excelcare Homecare. The health care
profession is very interesting for me because in this field various opportunity of learning related
to various skills like communication, coordination, decision making, time management skill and
so on. One of the major reason for selecting this area is that in this sector I can utilise my all
knowledge and ability of working related to health care. This sector is most demanding section in
the present era because every individual desires care services and treatment in their life while
they get injured or ill due to disease. To compete with other competitor candidate at the time of
placement is one major challenge for me due to this I have given my best contribution in the
attainment of target. At the time of placement, my major weakness is related to the
communication skill and interaction skill. This was my major challenge to attain the group
discussion at the time of placement. In the group discussion other health care experts have asked
me the question related to the health care services and treatment of patients. The Excelcare
Homecare is the famous health care organisation in the UK which is famous for its high quality
of care services and treatment. It has high qualified and knowledgeable care worker who gives
their best contribution to attain the objective of organisation. This corporation is famous for its
high quality care services so at the time of job within cited firm I have major role and
responsibility to carry out the high quality treatment of patients. In this organisation, my work
experience was relay very good because all my senior and other staff was very supportive and
cooperative who cooperate with me in my work and they have given me excellent knowledge
about the work. Most of my role in the branch Excelcare organisation was related to
administrative roles and on the odd occasions I go out on the field to do assessment in client won
homes to either take new clients on or renew their care packages. My junior staff member was
very cooperative in nature who give me opportunity for learning various new skill and ability
related to working. They were supporting me in taking the patient in the care home and managed

my work in an appropriate manner. My manager in the Excelcare organisation was also very
positive with me who gave various opportunity to perform my skill and quality related to the
working in the health care organisation. My manager provided training and development
opportunity to me at the time of my joining through which I have leran news skill, quality and
ability of working within this health carer corporation. I have gained the effective
communication, coordination, and time management skill from the training session. In addition
to this, my manger developed an effective team of many other care worker and healthcare
experts. I was also a member of the team. This team working was really excellently improved my
personality and professionalism related to mentioned field. In this team, each and every member
have different roles and responsibility related to the working. All team member have major
objective to attain the organisation objective that is proving effective care services to patients.
All member have also responsibility to obey the rules, regulation and code of conduct which
developed by manger. This team role can easily describe by the Belbin 9 Dimension theory. As
per the Belbin theory, 9 different behaviour in the team individuals who display in the work
place. First role is related to coordinator under which required to consider on the team's objective
and draw out team members and delegate work appropriately. Second role is related to plant
which tends to be highly creative and good at solving the problem in unconventional ways. Third
role is related to monitor evaluator which provides a logical eye and making impartial
judgements where required and weight up the team's option in a dispassionate way. Fourth role is
related to specialist which brings in depth knowledge of a key are of the team. Fifth role is
related to the shaper which render the necessary drive to ensure that the team keeps moving and
does not lose consider or momentum. Sixth role is related to the implementer who needed to plan
a workable strategy and carry it out as efficiently as possible. Seventh role is related to the team
worker who help to the team to gel, using their versatility to identify the work required and
compete it on behalf of the team. Eight role is related to the resource's investigator who used
their inquisitive nature to investigate ideas to bring back to the team. Ninth role is related to the
completer finisher who most effectively used at the end of the tasks to polish and scrutinise the
work for errors, subjecting it to the highest standards of quality control.
As per the discussion it has been ascertained that there are major nine roles in the belbin model
of team so as per this model, I have also various roles and responsibility to attain the objective of
organisation. Different member of the team have different roles and responsibility and they all

have to attain their obligation according to the norm of the organisation. In the team in the cited
organisation, my team working experience was awesome and which is unforgettable. I have
learnt various new things and skill from the team like coordination, supportive, time
management, decision making power, positive attitude and gained various knowledge about the
heath care working and practices. Other team member and team leader was very supportive by
which I have developed effective relationship with them. My one of the best experience by this
placement is related to team training programs. My team member and me was appointed for
training by workshop program. In this session I have gain various kinds of skill and knowledge
related health care working and practices. In this workshop training session, I have gained time
management skill in an effective manner, because in that session, tutor allotted us work for
accomplish within minimum time period. For example, we have to develop a large number of
patients report within minimum time duration and accomplish other administrative work within
very short time period. By these practices in the workshop training programs, I have learnt the
time management skill and coordination skill. By this, I can easily accomplish the high level
workload within a small period of time. On the other hand my communication skill have also
improved by this placement because at the time of job I have to interact with many staff member,
give presentation of my work in front of junior and senior through which my presentation and
interaction skill has been improved (Sethares and Asselin, 2017). By attending various training
session, workshop and facing challenging task or assignment within organisation, my personality
and professionalism within the health care sector has been developed. Daily I have taken the
administrative work or assignment in this healthcare field and accomplish within a time period.
By these practices, I have developed effective personality in the health care sector. For my
excellent and outstanding work within this organisation, my manager has many times rewarded
me by various rewards and prices. During this working period, I was appreciated for the best
administration in the organisation by manager. In order to describe my work experience and
placement experience, Gibb Reflective cycle is one of the most effective tool which effects
everyone continuously in their day to day lives, especially employees and student who are
working in the company and studying in the school and college. The major objective of this
model is to help those people who learn by their working experience. My entire work experience
within the Excelcare organisation can describe with help of Gibbs Reflective cycle that is as
follows-

Description- At this phase individual just appoint to describe the real situation. For
instance, I am working as a healthcare administrative within the excelcare organisation so
in this phase I describes my situation at workplace that why were I here, who else was
there, what happened at workplace, what did I do and what did other people do. As per
this stage, my major objective at the cited organisation is to fulfil my responsibility
toward service user and coordinate with my team member to attain the objective of team.
I have appointed by the placement within this organisation and works as administrative. I
go out on the filed to do assessment in client won homes to either take new client on or
renew their care package.

Feeling- At this stage, individual can encourage communicating about what he/she
thought and felt during the experience. In this stage, individual thinks that what they feel
while this situation took place. In my work experience, I was felt that other people are
very supportive and coordinative with me and they provided various opportunity to
improve my skill and knowledge about the working in the Excelcare health care
organisation (Rolfe, 2017). In addition to this, I have felt that there was various
opportunity to growth my personality and professionalism.
Evaluation- At this stage, individual require to evaluate the person to who he/she guides,
direct, coach and monitor. In this situation various question can ask by the person like
what was positive about this situation, what was negative, want went well etc. In my
work experience, I was asked by my team leader and my manager for what things are
positive in the training session.
Conclusion- Once the situation of working is effectively evaluated within organisation, in
the next stage, team member can draw conclusion about the situation (Shorten and
Ruppel, 2017).

my senior and supervisor has hugely supported and guided me for working according to the new
policies and practices within the cited organisation. Thus, I can say that in the Excelcare
organisation, I have great of my work experience and I have learnt many new things and skill
related to working.
