INTRODUCTION
Reflection is type of education which uses by individual to reflect on their skills and
experience regarding a specific project and module. This majorly focuses on learning new ideas
and thoughts by facing the problems and manage the all workings (Nevin, Smith and Hynes,
2019). When I was working in health care organization I noticed various things which is going to
discuss by me in this essay.
MAIN BODY
Principles of care are based on idea and thoughts of human rights that states the way
health, social care and early years providers are behaving in their care. When I was working in
health care organization I noticed many people are facing the problems in getting the health care
services that needs to be solve. The principle of care safety, dignity, independence, privacy, and
communication. By using the Driscoll model of reflection I developed my skills and talent in
health and personal care. As a nurse assistant I analysed that safety is important where I need to
keep patients free from injuries like as burns and bruises. The second principle is dignity where I
learnt that all patients should be treated with respect. Independence principles learnt me that
patients may start to helpless when nurse and other caring members are caring for their daily
needs. In th8is, I tried to make confident to my patients to stay physically and mentally healthy.
The forth principle is privacy that taught me a caring service providers should not discuss
patient's details and matters with others, it should be private. And the last principle of care is
communication which is used to talking and listening patients clearly and need to solve the
problems. The approaches of health and social care are medical, behavioural change,
educational, client centred, and societal change which are important to use in providing the
health care services that make satisfied the people and create the great experience (Bellieni and
Buonocore, 2019). The medical approach aims to enable people to be free from defied diseases
and disability. The behavioural change approach is based on changing people's behaviours and
attitude so people get a good healthy lifestyle. In this approach I learnt that people should stop
smoking, drink and others. And last educational approach helped me to learnt about how to
reduce the health related issues and and provide a good health to patients. In all activities I
analysed that my communication, care providing, keeping privacy skills are good that would
help to to get better opportunities. On the other side, I noticed that I was weak in stress

management, team work and maintaining empathy which is most important in health care. All
the skills I improved by working with my seniors and taking classes which helped to improved
my skills and weakness (Hollnagel and Braithwaite, 2019). This learning is beneficial for me as
it improved my knowledge in health and social care.
CONCLUSION
From the essay it can be concluded that reflection is the main activities for individuals as
it highlights on skills and weakness of a person. By learning weakness can be change in to
strength. Dignity, privacy, independence, and communication are principles of care that should
be used while providing health care services.
