Report
AI Summary
This report analyzes the application of various sampling methods in healthcare research projects. It begins by exploring the use of non-probability sampling, specifically convenience sampling, to address issues related to sexual dysfunction within a specific age group. The report then shifts to probability sampling, highlighting the use of simple random sampling to assess patient care in a primary care medical group. Finally, it discusses stratified sampling, used to investigate the concerns of physicians regarding their involvement in a board of doctors for a Managed Care Organization (MCO). The report references key literature supporting the chosen sampling methods.

Sampling
The hospital director has numerous research projects which are essential to undertake this
quarter. It is essential to identify suitable sampling methodology for each of the problems.
Problem 1
For this concern issues, the hospital director should select non-probability sampling as a
technique where the samples are gathered in the process and it does not offer individuals in the
population for having the equal chances of getting selected. The research will adopt the
convenience sample for conducting the research which includes the people who are people easy
to reach for the interview or survey (Etikan & Bala, 2017). The department head will get the
estimation of total of men among the age group of 35 to 60 in community suffering from certain
form of sexual dysfunction.
Problem 2
For this research, the research can adopt the simple random probability sampling in which they
don’t select from the particular population. In this method, every individual is selected randomly
and entirely by chance for understanding the research problem (Elfil & Negida, 2017). The
researcher considers primary care medical group try to determining either patient are being
serviced and greeted inappropriate manner or not. The random selection of the population will
support in identifying the fact for the services provided by primary care medical group.
Problem 3
In the research, MCO is putting efforts to identify the concerns for the physicians to become part
of the board of doctors who will treat their subscribers. For this research problem, there will be

the use of the probability stratified sampling. In this research, the population for the issue is
going to be distributed among the groups based on different characteristics. For this, different
people who can understand the physicians and their role in their role for the subscriber
participate.
