INTRODUCTION
Project management is the essential tool which is required for the successful completion of
any project. It involves proper strategies and planning to initiate with (Meredith and et.al
2017). Therefore, for all the project it is required to proceed with scope and aim for the good
outcomes of the project. This assignment will describe about the scenario in which Peninsula
community health which aim to introduce the new pressure ulcer monitoring device for the
older people. This assignment will cover the critical discussion about the rationale and project
scope which describe about the project life cycle, it further includes the Mendelow matrix to
identify the behaviour of various stakeholders who can show the interest in the project.
Report also includes the legal and non-legal solution or risk management strategies to
mitigate the risk. It finally includes the Tuckman and McClelland process.
TASK 1
Scope of project with rationale
The project by peninsula community health services is to help the people of UK to deal with
the pressure of ulcer (Fashina, Abdilahi and Fakunle, 2020). As the majority of UK
population is facing the issues of ulcer and with this project the patients will get help and the
people also going to be more aware about the serious issue of ulcer. This project will be
having a wider scope in UK as the issues is getting more server and with this project all the
patients will get the treatment to overcome from ulcer.
Rationale
The issues of ulcer is continuously increasing the population of UK and people with
underlying healthy condition are having higher risk with this diseases. There are many
regions like Cornwall where the elder population is having pressure of ulcers every month.
So, this project will going to help the people who are facing this issue and also help the other
people to be aware of this serious disease. With the project the different hospital facilities
such as electronic health records in which patients that could keep the support for sharing the
data, test results, robotics and diagnostics technology are going to be provided to the
suffering people and continue monitor their condition with different technologies. In this
project there will be 50 patients across the Cornwall further they are being provided required
treatment peninsula community health services and their progress will be measured with
different aspects. The aim of this project is to help this people to overcome from the ulcer and

aware the population to take precautions so that the pressure of ulcer can be avoided and try
to ensure about the various peninsula community health services.
In this project the staff will going to help the patients for around 18 month in which they will
regularly monitor the condition of patients (Corvello, Javernick-Will and Ratta, 2017). The
investigation of change of pressure ulcer and formation of ulcer, carer engagement to prevent
and the behaviour of patients are also being inspected accordingly. The access to this facility
is also easy for the patient as they need to register their names and diseases document by their
doctors there is no additional formalities. In this different monitoring tools are being used for
the patients of ulcer to know the hot spots regarding the pressure any of patient is sitting on
an particular place for long time. As this disease is occur when the people are not move for
long time and their mobility is less throughout the day (Althiyabi and Qureshi, 2021).
Triple constraint and baseline for project
This is an effective way through find out the three main elements related to the project by
peninsula community health services. As there are three main aspects and boundary
according to which a project operates its activities this are:
Scope: the project to help the underlying health condition people of Cornwall so that they can
overcome from the issue. This is having wider scope as they are taking patients from big
unitary and providing the facilities so that they can overcome from this issue. A primary
research that have been conducted for collection of data or gathering that could be based on
research, recommendation will be provided.
Time/ schedule: This project is going to operate in Cornwall for around 18 months and the
patients are provided help in this period so that they can overcome from this issue.
Budget/ cost: As the project is going to operate on an large area and there are also making use
of different innovative technologies and the nurses facilities are also provided. This project
will be going to work on a big budget (Akhwaba, Bowa and Keiyoro, 2020). while this can be
estimated about the 4565 pounds

According to this cycle the project may include number of levels to successfully manage its
activities.
Initiation: In this level the scope, budget requirement and time needed to complete the
project activities are evaluated. There are problems also which need to fix so the problem
statement will help to know the issues and the project can be able to work effectively. while
the scope for the project that have been increased and cost that have been taken the longer
steps for which cost and schedule which must be important for the nurses working in
evaluating the given project opportunities.

Planning: When the objective of the project clear and time need to perform the task are
identified then make sure the activities and role and responsibilities within the project. The
budget is also prepared in this to organise the task. Schedule all the task and effective chain
of duties that will be followed throughout the project (Sanghera, 2019).
Execution: In this the activities which are planned are being implemented and staff are
allotted their work so that they can perform their duties. The managers will also coordinate
with the staff and help them to perform their activities more effectively.

the patients which have been states about the completed and make sure about how usually
this could work for them.
Project methodologies
This is one of the important management practise for the project and in this all the activities
are listed to deliver the project more appropriately.

Waterfall methodology: this is one of the project management approach which emphasis
linear advance from starting task to end of the project. In this manager have to develop a plan
and then without making any change work accordingly to that plan (Hoehn and et. al., 2020).
Agile methodology: This is an effective refers to group to develop the software which is
based on iterative development. The manager in this can develop a plan and when they
complete any of the task further in this, they can make change to the previously done
activities (Beerbaum, 2021). Agile is one of the flexible approaches for the project in its
progression.
Prince2 methodology: this is used in the wider range of companies and industry which help to
manage the activities of the project (Esteki, Gandomani and Farsani, 2020). This helps the
manager to manage the project and bring them on time with the respective budget.
Form the above discussed methodologies for the project the agile is most appropriate
methodology that can be used in the project of peninsula community health services. As they
are operating this project on comparatively small scale and for this project, they are taking the
50 patients of Cornwall. The agile is flexible and when there is any kind of mistake happen
then manager is able to make the change.
Summary of work breakdown structure
For this project the work is divided into different part so that all the task related to the project
get accomplish effective by group work (Heusala and et. al., 2020). The project manager will
coordinate all the activities related to the project then the task of initiation, planning,
execution, control and closure and the 30 staff members are equally divided in all the stage to
perform their individual and group duties.

For every project it is important to involve the government legal factor in the project to
protect from any kind of future legal activities, as they collect the taxes therefore for every
project it is required to done all the legal activities before initiating the project as it will help
to secure from any legal procedures.
Businessman as a stakeholder:
For every project it is required to manage all the funds related procedures as for the project
initiation it requires an investment to arrange all the resources. Therefore, it is the major
responsibility for the project leader to make an effective strategy so that it will influence the
stakeholders to take effective part in the project.
