1NURSING ASSIGNMENT
Nursing professionals have major influence on the clinical changes due to which the
healthcare facilities and its processes are improved (Luangasanatip et al., 2015). While working
in the healthcare facility, I have also observed some serious aspects, changes in which could
make the process effective. This paper would mention one of such aspects which I suggested in
my nursing career that changed the process in the healthcare facility (Kingston, O'Connell &
Dunne, 2016).
Despite the fact that all the departments working in the healthcare facility implemented
the health hygiene strategies effectively, the implementation of it was not properly regulated or
analyzed. As per Kingston O'Connell & Dunne (2016), hygiene and sanitation is one of the
aspects that is not properly followed in the healthcare facilities and are not regulated for analysis
of its compliance level. This is one of the primary reason due to which I escalated the issue of
health hygiene to the healthcare supervisor of my ward.
The first step that I used for escalating the issue to the higher authorities was to develop a
report in which I would mention the percentage of people and healthcare professional that are
using sanitizers or hand washes prior to healthcare processes (Chassin, Mayer & Nether, 2015).
This process then were informed to the management and higher authorities so that they could
develop system about regulating and observing the number of people that are using hygiene and
sanitation processes.
This process would help to change the sanitation and hygiene level of the healthcare
facilities and this will eventually lead us to be protected from nosocomial infection.
