INTRODUCTION
Health care companies are the organizations who provide service related to social care
and medical treatment to public. Care U.K. is the company which is operated in U.K.It is
founded in 1994 They provide services regarding health to different NHS patients. It is done to
support old aged people and persons which are suffering from any disability.(Aveyard,2014).
Report discusses about the roles of workers related to non direct social care in environment,
importance of team working in care environment. Project describes about the role of workers
who are not involved in maintaining the health.
TASK 1
P.1 Role and responsibility of non direct care workers
Many users have ideas regarding the work of doctors and nursing staff. Now a days the
role and responsibilities of non direct workers have increased so hence it increase the
importance of them. Role are -
Office staff – Receptionist anther administrators haver to perform various services and
they have to solve the problems in minds of service users. Service users have to provide the skills
and knowledge required in the billing and the rooms availability and other relevant data. High
gate care home employees have to receive the feedback and suggestions from the patients
regarding the treatment, hygienic process and other facilities provided to them.
Maintenance – There are various employees who are responsibility for the cleaning and
hygienic purpose. They clean the pillow covers and bedsheets. They keep the environment clean
so that good hygienic conditions can be maintained in the company. This helps in provide the
healthy environment to all the patients.
Security staff – Security guards evaluate the identity card of all the people who take
entry in the hospitals. Hence it maintains the security in the company. It prevents the company
from the thieves and frauds in the firm (Dickinson and O'Flynn,2016). So it provide complete
protection in the company. It results in efficient and effective functioning in the company.
P.2 Interpersonal skills required in non direct workers
Non direct workers require the skills and knowledge so that they can effectively
communicate with all the employees and can explain all information. Interpersonal skills are-

proper uniform so that their personality looks good. Hence they can give good impression to the
employees . These workers have to maintain positive attitude while performing their duties. Then

find the unsafe areas to secure the boundaries of the company. People have to maintain
security by evaluating all the equipments such as domestic appliances and the motor vehicles.
They have to maintain proper records of the customers who makes the entry and exit from the
company.
Maintain safety – Non direct workers keep the confidential records in a proper shelf so
they can be kept safer as compared to other records and follow the rules of the data protection
act,1998 They try to maintain a proper location where all the items such as sharps,clinical items
and the medicines can be kept properly and safely. There is safe disposal of the use injections in
dustbins. All employees follow the rules of Work act, 1974. These workers haver to remove the
hazardous conditions carefully and they have to follow the rules of Hazardous waste regulation
2005.
Maintaining the health in caring environment – Non direct workers wear the gloves
while performing all the activities and tasks in the company so that they can promote the hygiene
in the environment. They try to create clean environment through using all the equipments and
materials in hygienic manner. They do not have to use the dirty equipments in the hospitals

management and no conflicts then it creates a good relationship between all the employees of the
company(Pollock and et. al.,2012).

It can be concluded that people who take the role of non direct workers are important for
the company which are dealing with the healthcare sector. There are various people such as
office staff,security staff which provide various functions in social care environment. Team is
important in care environment. Non direct workers play different role in promotion of
health,safety and security.
