population throughout the world are putting more pressure on the healthcare services. This calls
for the establishment of innovative tools and technologies for coping up with the increasing

with virtual healthcare apps and digital signage software in hospitals. Therefore, in order to
industry ready and accommodating with the changing patterns additional skills are required

decade has seen over dependence on technologies for offering fast and real-time services to the
patient population. This calls for recruitment of skilled working professionals who are adept in
handling of the innovative tools. However as asserted by Mortenius, Hildingh and Fridlund
(2016), the lack of skilled professionals have limited the expansion of implemented technologies
for the betterment of mankind. The same has also resulted in a large number of nursing
professionals resigning from their duties (Stewart et al. 2016).
Causes for the change
The causes of the change can be attributed to the handling and management of huge
patient records and databases. There are millions of people availing the healthcare services at the
same time within an acute hospital setup. The handling and management of the wide number of
health records of each and every individual require utmost precision and care. Therefore,
pressure has been out over the use of integrated digital system and software which safely
maintains the health records of every other person using the healthcare services. As commented
by Barasa et al. (2017), the employment of unskilled professionals can increase the chances of
errors within a hospital set up. Thus, globally the hospitals are spending almost 2.5 million
annually for the adequate training and recruitment of the staffs.
Future forecast
The patient across the world has grown more comfortable in using digital methods using
healthcare services. Therefore, one could predict there over the next 5 years number of patients
across the world will use innovative technologies for availing the healthcare services. However,
there are myths present on a global basis that the young people are more prone to using digital
solutions to healthcare than the old age group. However, some of the recent infrastructural

changes brought within the current medical set up such as the launching of mobile apps for

Job cluster
The student here has chosen the profession of a health strategic planner based on self-
reflection and taking into consideration the personal attributes possessed by him. The job roles
and responsibilities of a strategic planner within a health care set up are to assess the current
situation within an organization and plan for the required changes, which helps in achieving
long-term growth and stability for the organization. I have chosen this area of management based
on my educational qualifications. In order to work as a strategic planner within a care set up the
personnel need to possess degree in hospital administration and needs to be digitally adept. Here,
the strategic planner is placed with the sole responsibility of managing the digital tools and
generating sufficient positive leads within a care set up.
Personal soft skills
In this context, based upon reflection into personal space I have identified a number of
weakness or shortcomings professed by me. In order to work as a successful healthcare strategic
planner, I would need to be a good team player. However, being an introvert I lack sufficient
team interaction skills which could hinder successful delivery of the required set of services. The
role of a strategic planner within a health care set up is to allocate and align resources; enhancing

achieving the said objectives. The clarity of knowledge and precise communication skills are the
sole requisites over here (Fiondella et al. 2016).
Technical knowledge and skills
In order to work as a successful strategic healthcare planner, I need to possess a number
of skills and sound technical knowledge. Thus, past experiences of working in a similar domain
have helped me enhance some of my professional skills such as customer service, event
management and database management. As commented by Kersten-van et al. (2017), sound IT
skills are mandatory for working in the field of systems and design.

Analysis of habits and abilities (refer to appendix 1)
The current study focuses on the personal insights and values possessed by an individual
which could govern their success ratios in the field of work. Thus, over here a temperament
analysis of an individual can help them in the identification of the strengths or weaknesses
possessed by them. I personally belong to the INTP group which stands for introversion,
intuition, thinking and perceiving. The personality type of an individual is crucial in governing
the set of abilities possessed by them. I think as an introvert I am more comfortable working in
my own space, however as per the job role selected by me of a strategic health planner I need to

skills.
I am more intuitive which makes me sufficiently curious about the possibilities of a
future plan or proposal. This allows me to look at the picture as a whole rather than focus on
individual bits and parts. The intuitive attitude have helps me in developing a vision for the
future. However, a lack of ideas and approaches for transpiring the vision into practicalities can
hinder my progress in the designated areas. In this respect, I can undertake community activities
where I can use a much wider platform for interacting with the audiences regarding the different
health patterns and statistics. However, in my past experiences, I have often lacked the skill to
communicate with a huge section of the audience, which have hampered my goals or objectives.
I being more of a thinker base the majority of my decisions on fairness and logic. I can remain
calm even at the time of distress and handle a situation in a calm manner. I am more of
judgmental person rather than perceiving things. As commented by Maslach and Leiter (2017),
decorum and order can fix and sustain the organizational culture.
Review of academic performance (learning styles) (refer to appendix 2)
The academic performance can be viewed with the help of eight different learning styles
such as –verbal, visual, musical, kinesthetic, combination, solitary, social and logical. I have
qualified much as a visual, solitary and logical learner. I have been much of an introvert;
thereby I enjoy learning alone and within my own company. In my experience of working as a

I received 97 as the score on learning styles which means that I possess sufficient
motivation for learning. I believe in learning through performing and reflecting, will help me in
addressing the learning loopholes. Further analysis based upon the learner style I have score
medium upon active changer, reflective realist, pragmatic doer. However, I scored relatively low
in the creative skills content. In this context, the lack of future vision may affect my planning of
the present. I think being judgmental over perceiver may affect may limit my free thinking
skills.
Review of personal Resilience
On conducting the resilience test, a number of results were obtained which could further
help me in improving my performance. The factor of resilience can be broken down into a
number of components such as- coping with change, solving of problem, self confidence,
working with others, using support networks, organisational skills.
I scored medium in coping with change which means through I possess moderate
resilience in handling sudden change within the organizational process, my skills get tested at
times. The same could be attributed to increasing stress, which occasionally pulls down my
performance. Therefore, for better coping with such bottleneck situations I should try to look at
the larger picture. I scored medium on the problem solving approaches which implies that I can
manage certain hindrances which creep up in the process of my duties. However, I lag in
achieving maximum of my targets owing to initial anxiety. Therefore, I need to break down the
problem into smaller chunks and deal with them one at a time. I scored medium on the scale for

self confidence implying that I am aware of my personal skills and strengths. However, I often
step back owing to lack of knowledge or ideas about certain situations. In this respect, exposing
myself to the actual situation can change my anxiety patters. However, being quite a judgmental
person I often make my assumptions first than analysing the actual situation.
On the part of working with others I scored medium which means that I am pretty good
in my interaction .However, there are one or two people among the lot I feel hard to connect. I
would attribute that to my tendency to judge people rather than analysing the situation.
Therefore, keeping a more open mind with a perceptive attitude could help me in overcoming the
shortcoming. I scored medium in using effective supportive networks which means that I can
manage adequate help at work amidst fix situations. To me the concern was particularly when I
scored low on the organization skills. At times I am often not able to handle the excess pressure,
which builds up during the process of work affecting my performance as a whole.
Strengths and areas of improvement
The assessment helped in understanding my personal strengths and weaknesses where I
would need to work upon for improving my working skills and standards. The retrospection into
the personal values and core capabilities possessed by me have highlighted that I need to
enhance my organizational skills for improving my overall performance at work. Also, being
judgemental I hastily make decisions about people and situations which develop anxiety and
stress within me. Working as a strategic planner I would need to bring together the aspects of
depth and retrospection within my personality. I can take into consideration the future
possibilities along with taking into consideration the present statistics and not just focus on
incomplete documentation and review methods.

communication and team working. The solitary mode of working can result in mere missing of

can result in erroneous presentation of results. A gap analysis had been conducted in order to
