REFLECTION ON STRATEGIC DIRECTION 2
Introduction
Strategic direction refers to the plans and actions to be undertaken to reach the desired
objectives of the organization through strategic thinking and skills (Werhahn, Mauer, Flatten, &
Brettel, 2015). Here, the report is based on the strategic thinking of me as a healthcare leader and
the ways my strategic skills led to the success and growth of my organization.
Organization’s Growth
Organizational growth is only possible when there is an effective strategic leader that
makes efforts for the realization of the vision (Ramadan & Arafeh, 2016). Moreover, my
healthcare organization is growing because of the increasing reputation and the competitive
parity that the organization provides to the customers. This has been possible with my leadership
in which me as a healthcare manager used my anticipation, interpretation and critical thinking
skills to get insights of the healthcare sector and make an effective decision that can make my
organization uphold the strategic growth. Additionally, my organization is growing at a great
pace as it is focusing on the quality of the health service which has the tendency to provide
competitive advantages.
Effectiveness in Organization’s Growth
Organization can be effective when it has the capacity to grow through increasing
competitive advantages and the delivery of value that can add to trust of the customers (Macassa,
da Cruz Francisco, & McGrath, 2017). My organization has the capacity to get growth as I have
made the services affordable for the patients through the enhanced health service delivery that
has provided value to the customers.
Strategic Management in Healthcare
Strategic management in healthcare organization enables the organization to make
analysis of various environmental forces which can be the enablers of the strategic success.
Moreover, my healthcare organization has been specialized in the quality professional expertise
and also have reduced the turnover time in order to get the cost and quality efficiencies. It all
depends upon the strategic direction in which the organization has to make the strategic goals
that can lead to the improved health of the patients (Ginter, Duncan, & Swayne, 2018). This can

be seen in my organization in which I have been innovative and analytical and added certain
level of clinical direction that added to the profitability of my organization.
Evaluation of Competitive Advantages
As a healthcare service manager, I have been using advanced technologies and the
technical skills that not only add to my skills but it will also help in the increased competitive
advantages against the competitors. This can be possible through the earning of competitive
advantages which can be brought through the facilitation of value to the customers through the
improved services or different service from the rival firms (Agwunobi & Osborne, 2016).
Moreover, my organization has improved the peer relationships and also has drawn due attention
to the stakeholders which has enabled my organization to get sustainable growth.
Conclusion
In the end, it can be concluded that strategic direction is crucial for the organization in
order to achieve sustainable growth and get success. Here, the report is prepared on my strategic
direction towards my healthcare organization in which I have discussed the various ways by
which my organization has achieved the competitive advantage and provided strategic direction
through my strategic skills.
